MODE should show -71.06% not -7.06%!!

I have posted this for a while so updated below in line with investments mentioned in RNS.

These figure include the disposal of share as well. Prices at time of writing:

MODE - £316,319 invested (620,580 shares) Current Value of Investment = £91,535 (-7.06%)
Cornerstone £350,000 invested (645,902 shares) Current Value of Investment = £1171,164 (-51.10%)
KNB - £150,000 Invested, Current Value (including shares sold) = £377,974. (+151.98%)
MTI - £200,000 Invested (250,000 Shares), Current Value of Investment = £179,125 (-10.44%)
Northcoders - £750,000 Invested (341,666 Shares), Current Value of Investment including shares sold = £1,446,664 (+92.89%)
Rural Broadband Solutions - £32,300 Invested (1.2M Shares), Current Value of Investment = £37,800 (+24.75%)
Skillcast Group PLC - £250,000 Invested (675,676 shares), Current Value of Investment = £239,864 (-4.05%)

Overall showing these investments in profit £497,508 (24.31%)

Obviously not on this list are the non live assets of:
SGS - £2.35m invested
Aeristech - £350k invested
Ensilica - £750k invested
WeShop - £100k invested (yes, this is live but we cant dispose of this investment as we are locked in.)

This is correct. Our MCAP is based on a failed trial at the moment.

Nothing we don't already know but nice to have an update. Hopefully quarterly updates continue.

That's my point, SGS is still in play and if the board are to be believed we are in a stronger position now than in July?

Its crazy to think that when we first invested in Code back in July last year our SP was in 0.7s now fast forward to today and our SP is basically half but our investment in CODE has practicably doubled! Bearing in mind it is our 2nd biggest investment as well.

All our live investments are currently showing as a combined 20% up (£400k), this is despite MODE and CSFS being 72% and 50% down respectively. If those two can start getting back toward even money our portfolio will look really healthy.
If anything happens with SGS then the rerate will be fully on.

Not yet no, although I think the RNS about CSFS was them trying to add a bit more communication. That RNS was a nothing RNS at best though!
As you say fair enough if nothing to report on but i do think they need to do a Q & A with Shareholders as a start, which isn't hard to set up at all.

that's one way of looking at it Crawshaw. Or how about the fact CODE has been progressively increasing the last few months and we have been crashing? About time VELA SP turned for the better.

Like I have said a few times, the SP being this low will allow for some nice profit taking so a sustained rise may be tricky unless we get an amazing RNS which the trial could still provide!
Hopefully sentiment is changing here and we continue up.

You can't compare csfs to mode. Mode architected their own downfall which Vela had no control over. I'm with toffeeman, Vela had conversation with csfs about the poor performance and were happy with what they told them. I assume this deal was potentially mentioned and I was expecting Vela to have participated in the placing there. Bearing in mind the placing price was well under the SP at the time...

Agree Twisty. If we have silence next week from the BoD i will be disappointed. Someone mentioned earlier in the week that a Q&A would be beneficial and I agree completely. I know VELA isn't a hive of activity most weeks but it would be great to get some insights from the BoD on what their feelings are etc. I am still hoping VELA were part of the fundraise at CSFS this week. Would bring our avg down and the company looks pretty solid IMO.

Well done guys. You have got in at a great price. There will be a lot of us who wish we had a buy in this low!

Just to be clear we are 15% up on the current live investments.

CODE is currently a phenomenal investment for us. I know they sold some but the £750k investment is currently worth over £1.2m (this is made up of our remaining shares after the part disposal and the £182k worth of shares we sold).
Looking at my spreadsheet of current investment we are showing ~15% profit (£310k) across all investments (at time of writing)
