Nice bit of excitement and was a slow day up until now!

I had to add a small amount here too. Absolutely no reason for the SP to be down here.

MODE - we are down 75%
CSFS - we are down 61%
We invested circa £666,000 on those 2 and we are currently showing a holding of circa £215,000....

Market is a bloodbath this week though. All our holdings are down this week......Need SGS to be our saviour as this would gain serious traction at this time when most of the market is down!

This share just doesn't make sense, great fundamentals, good management, expansion, making money yet the share is at all time lows!

Thanks BigDave that was helpful. He was very enthusiastic about 'the asset' which bodes well for us.
But once again we are getting information on our investment from other companies!

real talk what are you talking about? this was never 3.5 last year? highest we got to was 0.14p?! the consolidation was never passed so the SP was never 1.7 either. Not sure if you are being intentionally disruptive or not.

Jimmy this is NOT a peer review of the trial results. If you read it you will have read this part:
"Results will also be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal within 12 months of the clinical study report being finalised."
So yes, we are still awaiting peer review....

Still no sign of a peer review on the trial yet.... 22 weeks on from trial 'results'.
As an investor in the trial VELA have to be asking these questions, it sounds like a broken record but we have heard nothing new from SGS or VELA since September 10th.
With the SP in the basement it feels like the BoD are sitting on their hands, not putting their own money in and buying shares, getting their salaries so they are alright while we PIs are considering selling at significant losses or feeding on crumbs of information found independently in spite of the lack of comms from SGS or VELA.
I completely understand they can't give us news if there is none to give but when they invest such a large amount in one investment they have to be on top of news flow.
I know I have spoken of SNG before but their SP rocketed on phase 2 trial results while ours has lost 75%! Maybe its just sour grapes as, like many, I was in a nice profit but held on in the belief a commercial deal was imminent but instead have watched a nice profit deteriorate into a healthy loss...

Think a lot of us are still here as we do not want to crystalize the losses!

I would happily join for £60k a year for a couple hours work a week!!

The only thing I could see us get excited for (aside from SGS) was the aeristech IPO whenever that happens but that was only £350k invested so even if that doubled in value it would not be as good as CODE has been so far, and our SP hasn't reacted to CODE at all....

Just to be clear the cash funds are now £1,430,000 (from RNS dated 24th Jan 2022).
Since 1st Jan 2022 we have part disposed of CODE and invested £750k in Ensilica.
We have however, not heard any more information on the trial hence why nothing is happening.

There will be a need for treatments that's for sure. The government aren't saying COVID is gone just that we are now going to live with it.

Unfortunately we are completely hinged on the SGS commercialisation. Doesn't matter if our 2nd biggest investment has doubled in value or our investment portfolio as a whole shows as being up. I guess that's fair enough as the SGS investment was by far our biggest investment so will effectively wipe out all other gains should we get nothing out of it. Until we hear on it, as said many many times we are bottom feeding.

I thought when I saw this that maybe we have sold some of our position again but there's no particularly big trades in there so won't be us selling.

From what I can gleam from our investments we have:
Value of live investments (time of writing) = £2,127,826
Non current assets = £3,550,000
Cash in Bank = £1,430,000 (from RNS dated 24th Jan 2022)
Giving us a total of - £7,107,826
Current MCAP - £5,688,200
