Well the SP had increased since Jim came on board.

Where would we be if we had the old board still in place? No funds, crazy bad investments and constant dilution. We had 3 directors on the board of which Brent was the only one who had any skin in the game. On that subject, not a fan of Brent, no idea what he does apart from give vague often confusing replies to any emails.

The current board all have skin in the company and we have a sizable investment in a bank. Least there is some light at the end of the tunnel compared to before.

All in my opinion. But if you asked me which board you were rather running the company it would be the current one over the last one every day of the week.

Clearly some Big Jim haters here. But look at the state of the company before he came on board. 99% of the investments were losses, some of which were questionable to even the most novice of investors. The company is undoubtedly in a better position now than before Jim came on board.

So 400m shares sold and the price drops but when there is 2.5B (!) shares bought the price doesn't move.

Yes but that £20k was done 5 times. so £120k bought. that would normally move the price but not today. along with the other days where there has been some other bigger buys.

Yeah i will take a positive outlook on this. Also these results highlight just how poorly the old board managed the company. That Conduit investment was once worth around £2.9m and they watched that reduce down to 6k! what's happened to WeShop? from memory that was valued at over £400k but haven't seen anything to suggest its much lower?

New board in getting rid of the cr@p, only way is up from here.

Another 50 what? they want to issue another 600b shares. Yes that will mean a lot of dilution but what i am hoping this time is that its not just to fund the ongoing costs of the company, whatever they raise should increase the value of the company by that amount and when they put all that into ALBA that should hopefully increase in value further.

The issue price for the fundraise is such a massive bit information needed. for example if they actually issue 600b new share at say 0.003 then that would generate £18m, which they have said they will pump straight into ALBA which represents a very decent chunk of the £25m ALBA needs, but tbh i can't see them raising that much. what are peoples thoughts...

Someone clearly sold 150m share without realising there was an RNS just lodged. that will sting!!

I will take the credit for this. Had a little moan this morning and now look! miracles do happen!

Certainly looks like a few PIs have got bored of this already and selling off, couple chunkier sells amongst the other sells. Goes to show what a lack of clear communication does to a share. any new director 'bump' looks to have gone and looking increasingly like there will be no license for ALBA, in the near term anyway unless they get one in the last minute before the 12 month deadline comes. this certainly has the same VELA feel, all our hopes pinned on one investment which is awaiting news which seems to never come!

Have to agree UncleJim. Give another mate £5k a month for doing not a lot. Would make sense if we have loads of funds to invest but as the last quarterly statement showed there isn't. I know there is more funds coming but you would think this would have been earmarked for an investment already, hence the raise. I hope they didn't just do a raise for the sake of it!

This new guy will be doing the £100k investments like the VELA days which don't return much if anything. Not worth the salary IMO.

I can only assume Brent releases the quarterly statements as this one also poses more questions than answers like all of VELAs ones!

Yeah, inclined to agree Ian. Was hopeful a change of directors would change our fortunes but all that has really changed is the name. Still sending out misleading RNSs (imminent!) and now a placing to get more funds. Its VELA all over again!

The 2.73% is based on the initial investment of £750k not £1m, so that would value Alba at £27.4m.

Amazing what competent board members can do! Sound investment.
