Absolutely agree BigDave. Lets conserve cash for the rest of this year and oust the board on the next agm. We can then employ Paul the psychic octopus to pick our next investments.

I do feel for any legit new investors who bought in and were trying to be positive last week then see what VELA are about today!

We had £949,000 in the bank on 31st March 2022. Obviously we have running costs etc to take off that plus potentially another £300k for this investment leaving us with circa £600,000 left in the bank.
Markets are generally dreadful currently but this will present some decent opportunities for experienced investment companies, only thing is VELA are experienced in how to lose money rather than make it to the point that you would be (overall) significantly up if you shorted every company VELA invested in.

Yup. Same story, Buys going in so MMs increase the spread and pound the bid on any given sell!

Honestly Dave i think you know more about what's going on that our esteemed BoD. Surely there should have been a TR-1 for the conduit purchase off SGS?! it would have stemmed the flow of sells after the tr-1 stating SGS had sold there entire holding the days after results, we all know that wasn't a good look however much we tried to put a positive spin on it.

Be nice if the BoD actually answered our questions even its via their new IR company. You can see why the SP is where it is can't you.

Wonder how much VELA are paying this new PR and IR company to send tweets?
Surely VELA can send their own tweets ffs, then at least it's coming from the company rather than a company who has a following of 229 on Twitter. I know there is the use of hashtags but anyone who has searched #vela you will know there is little to nothing actually related to this vela.
Like Dave said we have had news for the companies we have invested in this week which is worthy of an RNS yet we have silence. Terribly run company and if this ever gets near to 0.7p again I'm out.

Have been away for a week so just catching up with all things VELA. And something is troubling me about this, that if someone could shed some light on for me would put my mind at ease:
**The fair value of the investment portfolio was £5,616,000 (31 December 2021 - £4,925,000).
Now there is a huge possibility i am wrong but i can only calculate the fair value to be circa £4,995,000 based on the SPs as of the 31st March:
