Good volume today. Hopefully this is the next rung up the ladder. The buyers from the 4s have sold for a profit next stop the 6s!

A balanced view of RNS:
Positives - Market had priced in a failed trial so this RNS shows it is still in play and discussion for a commercial agreement are ongoing which VELA could do very well from. Just to make their money back would mean a commercial deal of around £50M. IF the drug is as good as we hope then a commercial deal will be way over this amount.
Negatives - Still no data from the trial, no peer review.

Yeah we had this the other week. Pump it up 20% then sell off. Easy money for the pump and dumpers. Only real news will get this shifting properly, which we don't have yet. That's the problem being at this level of SP you can still double your investment and the SP will be under 0.10 still!
We need a higher base if this is to go north of 0.10 again. Too many profit taking opportunities on the way up to that for all the new money required.

Either way its nice to see. Could be a few will take an easy 20% and off they trot!

Is there a pump on?!

Its like any share, 2 vastly different point of views:

The positives - VELA has gone from loss making to profit in the last financial year and now debt free with a healthy bank balance*, Some really positive investments (CODE and KNB) with hopefully another belter in Aeristech. Invested in a Covid drug trial which could be explosive*

Negatives - Lack of communication, Sat on funds for extended periods of time (we are an investment company, no good money sat doing nothing), Some investments performing appallingly (MODE & CSFS), Invested in a Covid drug trial which could make a £2.35M hole in the accounts*

Depends how you see your glass, half full or half empty. For now, mine is definitely half full and I am very envious of investors getting in at these prices. Some will say this price is too expensive (MG).

If you don't agree with him you are a ramper. But he forgets he bought in here at 0.12! then told us he would sell out as soon as he would break even, turns out he didn't sell all of his holding when he could have.
Whilst he has been right on some of his predictions he obviously didn't listen to himself! Do as I say not as I do sort of guy I think.

He wants to make himself feel better seeing as his ARB shares are plummeting in value.

There has been no information on the trial since September. Obviously looking at the SP this has not been received well but I am of the view that if nothing was going on VELA would be able to release information. If Brent email is real, they aren't able to release anything trial related.

Yeah I agree Dave. A short holding RNS would reassure investors that the trial is not a dud would help, as Iceman has said a failed trial is priced in. If there is a sniff that positive talks are ongoing (through an RNS) then some sentiment could return and in turn some positive movement in the SP.

That's why the SGS trial is so important to VELA and no matter what the other investments do at the moment won't change much. If the SGS agree a favourable commercial deal/license which proves to return multiples of our £2.35m investment then who knows where the SP gets to. If its a dud its a large £2.35M hole to fill.

We can go round in circles but we all know the only thing moving us from here is more info regarding trial/commercialisation or a good old fashioned pump and dump.

Agree completely. Undoubtedly the comms from the board is terrible. feels like an age since our last investment and we have £2m in the account! As SH we need to know what is going on and the SP being where it is is not doing any favours to the LTH.
