Totally agree Jim. Yes, we are waiting for commercialisation but we have £2m sat in the bank ready to invest and not a peep from the board. I will wait this one out as I think the IPO of Aeristech will be very good and hopefully we get a nudge similar to the one we had when KNB IPO'd. I'm tempted to say the SGS trial is a write off especially after seeing other drugs had trials that started and ended after us and getting press attention and statistical results. Our drug has had little to no media attention.

Charts mean F all here. A chart can't predict either good news or bad news. If we find out there is a favourable commercial deal then obviously the sp will rise, if we find out the drug is a dud and won't be moved to commercialisation then the sp will drop a bit more. Currently, we are completely dependant on SGSC.

Notice there are some stats/figures in their result. Better than just saying 'strong trend' like SGS did. We have no idea how our drug compares to this one. And this one also mentions underlying health issues such as Type 2 diabetes.....

Exactly Dave. The cash pile will see us through and means we (fortunately) have time to wait for the worse performing investments to hopefully come good. Like you said before if the board still believe in our investments it may be worth averaging down on a couple. especially CSFS as that has lost over 50% so far.

you would like to think not BUT we can only go off what we know, which is:
- 9th September - Results showed a strong trend towards reduced mortality in patients receiving AZD1656 BUT no data to back this up
- 10th Sept - Present day = Radio Silence and SP is reduced to yearly lows..

All we can do is wait I guess as no one is making any money at this price.

News needed ASAP. We don't know what is going on, are SGS in commercialisation discussions, are the results getting peer reviewed, are we looking at a phase 3 trial... we can only assume commercialisation talks are ongoing but you know what happens when you assume, you make an ASS out of U and ME!

Exactly. Trial 'success' should not equate to a 50% + reduction in SP. Time will tell but the longer this goes on the more frustration creeps in and sales go through.

Markets also (evidently) don't like silence on our biggest investment. We are well over 50% down since the 'results'.

I think that's the problem it is such an unknown, no one has come out to say ' we are in discussions with a number of parties regarding the commercialisation'. we have heard absolutely zero from anyone that matters. As per my original point the SP is fully hinged on this news but we have silence.

Nice to see CODE going strong, puts us up roughly 13% on our £750k investment. Just being going over our investments and as we all know the £2.35m investment is so critical to VELA performance. ie:
If SGS is a dud and we receive nothing our portfolio will look horrendous and show (at time of writing) a loss of over £2.2M and c.53% down.
However if SGS just gets our money back our portfolio is in the green a profit of £138k (7.71%)
Any form of profit on the SGS deal will see us look so much stronger so if it returned a 100% (+2.35M) profit our portfolio is up £2.48M (60%)
We just need clarification on if we are making anything from SGS or not. We have over £2m in the bank with potentially more to come from the sale of WEshop shares. I can only think VELA are awaiting these details as well before deploying funds to invest in other companies.

bit of a pump going on. unfortunately we have seen this before pump for a quick 10% gain then back down.

more likely PIs have set a buy price for 0.6p which have been triggered. Absolute bargain price for new investors.

Vast majority of these sells will be at a loss which doesn't do much for the confidence.

The SP is depressing but looking at the sunnier side, IF the SGS investment comes off and Aeristech take off at IPO then the portfolio will look a hell of a lot better. Worth mentioning that over the portfolio listed we are in profit (thanks to the KNB investment) so if the SGS and Aeristech do well all is forgiven!
