noggers and Eish - good morning to you both - having re-read the RNS I can see that Arcata was down a bit (copred to Q1 2016) and so was San Jose but I do not think that really hit the Sp as it only dropped down PM yesterday - about the same % as a lot of other miners. VED lost about 7% but SOU oil finished 12% down ! A bad day at the SM for most investors. Hindsight is a cruel thing - when I lost £2400 gambling on SOU SP going up - it went down 8% in one day so I sold out - soon after the SP bounced back up 10% !!!! If I had held on a couple of days I would have been £2400 up ! but i am not tempted to buy SOU today at 68p - once bitten twice shy ! I am sure that HOC will recover from this low SP - so worth holding on IMO Regards all - hopefully today will be a better SM day

JL -sorry to hear you are leaving - I am in a similar position to you - been trading in the SM for 50 years now and had a lot of thrills and spills over the years - but an expensive hobby at times ! I stayed out of the SM in 2007 and 2008 as I saw a crash coming - back in in 2009 and made £18k profit on the year - BARC and LLOY my best shares. 2010 I lost the £18K profit and broke even. 2011 to 2015 just about broke even but 2016 lost £22K. About £2K up so far this year - best deal was £5K on PMO in 2 days and worst deals £2500 loss each on HUR and SOU in 2 days - but looking for good profits soon on SDX - company has no debt and $30M in the bank and last week hit a major gas find and is drilling on to another gas or oil find at lower levels - RNS due out today or next week - may be worth a few K gamble ? DYOR on SDX - it all looks good to me for short term gains and if you have the patience - longer term big results. Failing that - why not chill out for a while and watch the world power plays - Trump, May, Le Pen and Merkel - lots of opportunities to make money if you call it right IMO. Yesterday was a very surprisingly bad afternoon for lots of big mining and oil companies - VED dropped most along with SOU - settled at about 12% down but today may see a "dead cat bounce" on the big companies SPs Best wishes and best of luck with whatever you decide

noggers - major crash across the board - not another Trumpton moment surely ? I just skimmed through banks - basic resource companies - energy - builders - and they are all plunging. SOU going back down to possibly 10% off again. My SDX just about staying blue ! Nothing we can do until sanity returns Regards

Eish - HOC still doing well today - a "safe" share - look at all the red today - SOU just crashed about 10% - and they are not alone ! Still time to buy into SDX - SP jumped on first new gas discovery last week and CEO confident of hitting one or more lower drilling levels of oil reservoirs. Next RNS imminent in next few days. JL - I was a working class lad who won a place at a Grammar School and followed my Dad and two elder brothers into the RAF as aircrew. If you have the determination anyone CAN succeed in the UK WITHOUT positive discrimination which rewards the lazy and opportunists IMO. The best thing that the Tories are doing is to constantly raise the level at which people pay tax - raising the tax free amount to £11500 this year (and more to come) takes the most needy out of paying tax altogether. Once the GE is out of the way our country can settle down and build again for a very bright future free of the unelected political dictators in Brussels ! Regards

JL - the market priced something in - on 17 April the SP was 286p and now is 260p - I cannot see any reason for that drop so it could just as easily go back up to 286p or more ! Time will tell Regards

Eish - I had a quick scan of the RNS and once again I think it is excellent and given a level playing field the SP should rise back up to 300p this year. But "Quien sabe senor ?" The market mafia are just as likely to pull down the SP (because they can ! - "No point in having power if you do not abuse it !" ) Latest move on the Mary Le Biro saga - she COULD still win the presidency !!! She pulled a master stroke standing down as leader of the NF - and if there is a low turnout at the final poll and centrists refuse to vote for Monsewer Macaroni then Le Biro could be elected - name change to Madame La Trumpadour no doubt ! Eish - just back from walking the dog (in the rain) - apologies for my last post - I was in the middle of constructing my version of the "Gettysburg Address" when the window cleaner attacked the house which made my Jack Russell go bananas and at the same time the phone rang !!! - at times like that I would give my right arm to be ambi-dexterous ! Our SP seems to be out of intensive care at the mo so looks good for tomorrow. Looking across the board big miners and oliys seem to be out of favour today. The French Macaroni factor from Monday seems to have turned to poo today. But Corbyn has brightened my day by promising to end the 1% pay rise limit for NHS workers ! Does he not know that ALL Public Sector workers - Armed Forces - Police - Firemen - Civil Servants (excluding MPs) have been on the same terms for years - zero last year and 1% rise this year ! If he gives it to NHS only there will be uproar - another carelessly researched oxymoron ! Regards

I agree JL - too much corruption in the SM at the mo exacerbated by computerised trading - short selling and sale os millions of discounted shares to mainly II. Over on SDX the rapid SP rise has been reversed by II slleing millions of shares bought in January at 30p and now being sold daily for 60p +++ Not a bad profit - 100% in 3 months ! But as long as the II keeps dumping shares the SP will never get back up to its recent 74p high ! Regards

JL - we had a road block set up by locals at Pallancata for a while and of course the fatal accident at Inmaculada which shut the mine for a while - but both problems are resolved now and according to the BOD the problems did not affect production - just sales ! However - I am sure there will be some knock on in the figures tomorrow. We are due for a bit of luck once again on our SP so fingers crossed for tomorrow. Regards

Back in HOC with £10K - hope for the best - lots of headroom back to 300p - results tomorrow should be good (like for like year on year) but will be down a bit due to Pallancata and Inmaculada problems but hopefully will be up on Pablo results. Morning all - RNS today ? I agree that on past performance the RNS will do little to raise the SP but sooner or later the SP must rise on excellent results. Ref Macron winning - Mary le Biro has just pulled a master stroke - by standing down as leader of the NF extremists and appealing to the failed centre ground voters she MIGHT just creep into power - look at Trumpton's victory ! I think it extremely unlikely - almost as remote as leicester winning the Cup ! LOL Just think - if Le Biro strategy works - how about Corbyn promising to step down as Labour Leader and PM and handing over to David Milliband (a surprise winner of a safe Labour seat at the GE) WOW - it might just work ! But once voted in Corbyn could kick the can down the road until he had repealed all the Tory laws he hates and turn the country into a New Socialist and Communist political dictatorship. Stranger things have happened ! Regards all

So often HOC goes down AM then at midday picks up all the losses and goes blue ! World SM are cheering a shoe-in victory in 2 weeks for the moderate French president elect Macon and avoiding the deadly Mary Le Biro as the new president ! I cannot remember when world SMs ever went up so fast as they have today - forecast result in 2 weeks is Macon 60% and Le Biro 40% of votes cast. It would be great if our GE result was 60% May or May Not and 20% Corbyn's Communists ! The Tories might even win back some Scottish seats - backlash to ranting tyrant Sturgeon ! Every time Comrade Corbyn opens his mouth the Labour supporters reach for the whisky bottle !!! Regards all - not much sense in our SM until after the GE

JL - I am 71 years of age now and past my use by date ! I enjoy gambling on the SM on a one or two day basis for up to about 10% profit. So far this year I am about 60% up and 40% down. The only downers I really am upset by are the ones that brokers dump 8 or 10% one day only to put the SP back up the next day - no rhyme or reason to it - just market manipulation. Like HUR dropping 8% after a RNS reporting the biggest oil find in the North Sea for decades or SOU dropping 10% the day after I bought into a rising SP only for it to go up again 2 days later (after I sold at a loss) - no reason for the drop at all ! But I did buy PMO at 55p £30K and sold next day for 62p - nearly £4K profit. I am mostly in cash at the mo holding only £25K shares in SDX - expecting a really good oil discovery next week (already have a really good gas discovery last week) If we hit major oil at the end of next week the SP will fly ! Regards

JL - sorry to hear about your SPHR problems - been in that position many times and usual just accepted the loss and went off to try to win back the losses in other shares. My worst dithering was years ago in SOLG shares where I made lots of paper profits then the SP crashed so I got out and the SP recovered well so I bought back in and the SP crashed again - finally broke away at about 2p and soon after the SP went up to 6p - but I'd had enough of SOLG ! Good advice "Never look back at loss making companies subsequent performance ! On the other hand I sold out SOU at a good profit at 88p when they had dropped from 102p and they recently hit just about 60p - so not tempted to buy back in there. HOC still up 17% this year and CEY up 41% so compare well to AAL 10% down or EVR 13% down or LMI 29% down or TLW 38% down. A friend of mine once said "If you think you are doing badly just remember that all problems are relatives" I said do you not mean "All problems are relative ?" he said "Have you met my in-laws ?" Morning JL - I have always said that HOC can usually be relied on to hold its own when other big companies are crashing but I think - like all successful companies - they get targeted after a while and the SP is forced down. I still think that HOC can go above 300p but I think that is the limit for now. Late 2017 and 2018 will see further expansion into brownfield sites and known rich PM fields - so a good long term hold. Gold production is presently 5 times more than silver (surprisingly) so the HOC silver output should do well in the future. Biggest loss was from digital cameras not requiring silver to develop rolls of film any more but big increase in medical IT and car manufacture use. Best of luck with your own plans but keep an eye on SDX - it seems to be going the way SOU did in the early stages although ups and downs will occur as buyers and sellers change tack. Strange thing is that ALL the trades are O trades - NO A trades !!! And 60% of shares are held by IIs

JL - I am into SDX but not selling as there is a lot more upside to the SP - reasons for buying: 1. Well established and trusted company 2. No debt 3. Producing gas and oil assets 4. Just hit another major gas find and drilling down further for fairly certain oil field find 5. SP up 100% in last 3 months 6. Good trading base - 300 to 400 at the mo 7. Latest find confirms 3D prediction of gas so should also confirm 3D prediction of oil. 8. Drilling in rich oil and gas fields in Egypt and Morocco I intend to hold for at least one month to see if the present drilling programme bears fruit (or oil !) But I think this share is a winner. Guys - have a look at SDX - I stumbled over it and quick scan seems a real good buy - up about 10% today on gas find - have a look - might be worth a few £ while we wait for Mary le Biro and May Or May Not to sort out our world at Trumpton ville. Regards all and GL
