JL - ref nags - I have no luck but my wife and daughter choose nags with nice tails or pretty faces - and they WIN ! I once bet on a nag which was about 10 lengths ahead on the final run in but then ran off the course ! Perhaps big G is trying to tell me something ? Reminds me of Lord Canardly-Thinkstrait who saw his trainer give something to his horse Dobbin prior to the race. Lord Watchin-Now a steward saw the feed and accosted the trainer - "What did you give that horse ?" the trainer said "Only a sugar lump - see - I will eat one and you can also !" Afterwards Lord C-T said to the trainer - "Will Dobbin win ?" The answer was - "If anything overtakes Dobbin on the final straight it will be me or that steward !" GL today

Just re-read the HOC latest presentation on the home page and I cannot understand why we are having such a hard time with our SP. SOU yesterday went up finally 12% on a wing and a prayer only and we went down on rock solid foundations (no pun intended !) I can only assume the market mafia are playing their usual pump and dump games to generate turnover and big profits for the brokers and their mates. Fingers crossed for today Regards all

Last time I looked shorters were just 2.63% (declared) on HOC but on AGK they were 7.84% and PMO 6.78% and COB 7.18% and TLW 16% and Carillion 22% My worst decision was to not invest in Peppa Pig ab initio when I got the tip on a BB - look where it is now. I was also misled on Quindell - all the usual "This is backed by Fidelity and they are not selling out " (yes they were - in Dark Pool trading) "I believe in the BOD - the MCAP was recently at £2500 million !" (ended up at £200 million) I was lucky to break even overall in QPP and sold out way before the final crash. My best buy ever was £2K into Rockhopper before they struck oil - made £18K profit. Worst buy last year was BARC from January 2016 - ended with a £18K loss and a vow not to invest in banks again. In late 2009 LLOY announced a 100% new shares RI offer - I immediately sold out at 125p - the SP post RI fell to about 65p which is about where it is today ! Looking at the past performance of HOC - drops of 10% or 20% quite common - but followed by a quick (or slow) recovery in SP. So I will day trade - sell at 5% or 10% mid day profit and buy back just before close of play on dips. I will try to stick to my plan this time. I make excellent plans then act on impulse - buying and selling - sometimes the instinct is right and other times totally wrong. I was amazed by SOU going up 10% yesterday but the Market mafia had driven the SP down so low this year that they had to boost it to make their profits IMO. No RNS to back up the rise (although it may come today) i am not tempted - I recently bought into a rising SOU SP at 85P and lost £2400 in one day when the SP crashed. I will probably go back into 100% cash midday today if the SP goes up 5% - or hold till it does - next week Regards all

noggers - it will not be Eduardo - when he sold the 15.5 million he came down to 51% controlling factor and promised not to sell any more. But I did see on the HOC homepage that 57 million shares are on hold for future company share schemes and directors remuneration this year (as usual). Nothing showing up on the LSE site yet ! I have written off today and will take the dog for a walk and hope for a better tomorrow ! Regards

JL - did you mean the 15.5 million shares sold by old man HOC ? It was a private sale to an II and yes it was just under 3% so below the radar ! That should not have pushed down the SP as they were not NEW shares ! And I have not seen any mention of the BOD introducing other new shares to the market - we are in an excellent financial position with very little debt >1 x EBITDA so they do not need to raise more funds - especially as Ag and Au prices are rising gradually. I am also encouraged by the 2017/2018 forward plan to develop new brownfield sites on known rich deposits of PM ore in Peru and Chile. The future looks really good to me ( longer term ). Just hope the next RNS gives our SP a good boost next week. Regards

JL and Noggers - during my working life I have been trained as an accountant for the RAF at one stage and so I have been analysing the HOC reports very carefully and I am baffled by the SP recent poor performance. I cannot find any fault in the balance sheets or reports so there must be an elephant in the room that I am not seeing ! Today's drop in SP is ridiculous and not recovering yet ! Does anyone have an input on what is causing our poor SP performance ? Regards all PS Good to see the BOD is NOT hedging PM prices this year - so is expecting rising value in Ag and Au

I was tempted to invest in ACA mining until I saw the RNS that the Tanzanian govt has stopped all PM ore exports - so ACA is having to stockpile its production TFN. It seems the govt wants a smelter complex built in Tanzania for processing the ore ! I am sure the Chinese would be happy to build one - at a cost ! I will stick with HOC ! Regards all

JL - my 3 legged RSPCA comatose Jack Russell also costs me dear but I would never part with him - LOL Not too long back we were complaining that the HOC SP had hit a glass ceiling at 293p !!! be happy to get back to that level now. I am baffled as to why HOC is not performing too well of late - although Old Man HOC selling 15.5 million of his shares did not engender confidence in the future performance ! Worth remembering that HOC is UP 195% from its low point last year and is UP 22% so far this year. My trouble is impatience - I called all the right SM major moves last year but my timing - jumping in and out of shares was not too good. If I had held onto any of my major shares bought just after the BREXIT vote I would now be 60% up from last June. Hindsight is a cruel thing - a wise man said once to the citizens of Ongar - best not to look back in Ongar ! Regards - keep holding HOC - we will be back up to at least 290p in good time

JL - anyone with a pin choosing shares has as much luck as the rest of us nowadays - I have made £4500 in a day trade and several at £3000 or £2000 but also lost almost as much - presently about £3K up this year so happy to carry on gambling. My two worst trades were SOU which lost me £2400 in one day and HUR - again lost £2400 in one day - the day I saw the HUR RNS reporting a massive oil field find !!!! Unbelievable that a major oil discovery could send a SP DOWN 8% !!! Taught me to "look before you weep" ! I would think that HOC is a very good buy at this SP - hopefully we will get a great RNS next week - Pallancata Pablo veins very rich production - Inmaculada now back and firing on all cylinders et al !!! However - looking at HUR SP past incredible reactions to excellent RNSs and HOC SP flat after several excellent RNS - Quien Sabe Senor ? Vaya con Dios mi amigo ! Perhaps El Dorado (the golden man) will visit our SP and get it going back up where we belong ?

Seeing what I am up to on the SM my wife has just logged in as OVER Seer - LOL Another roller-coaster day on the SM ? interesting to see that the Lib Dems have opened the graveyard and are bringing back the zombies like Cable to re-fight their old seats at the GE in June. I think that most Labour voters will choose not to vote for Corbyn or anyone else rather than vote Conservative but that will give May a big boost as Conservative voters WILL turn out and vote for May. She might even get back a few seats in Scotland - I am impressed by Ruth Davidson and think that a lot of Scots are now fed up with Queen Nicky and her ravings and can see the financial mess she has already got Scotland into. I was one of the 4 million UKIP voters at the last GE who ended up with ONE MP while 1.4 million Scots SNP voters ended up with 65 MPs - Democracy ???? Not in my book. This time I will vote Conservative and hope the other 4 million UKIP supporters also vote Conservative. i am a lot more impressed with Mrs May now than when she took over 9 months ago !!! noggers - my sympathy on VED - I have always had an aversion to VED - not happy with the India shenanigans ! I am watching PMO and waiting for May or June for a big rise in SP - once it starts to go it will go quick. May have to wait a bit longer tho - the FPSO coming in August (?) for link up to Catcher oil field. By late 2017 the PMO SP should be well up - 100P +++ IMO. Am also watching SOU but staying well clear at the mo - too many shares been issued and possibly no commercial gas ! Again, the SOU SP may well rocket at end 2017 - wait and watch. My classic was to buy SOU at 85P for £30K and next day it dropped 8% and I sold at a £2400 loss ! But I did make £4500 in one day on PMO so - swings and roundabouts ! Overall this year I am about £3K up and staying now in cash until after the General Election. Other non favourites of mine - ENQ - EVR - LMI - TLW --- can make some good profits day trading but dangerous shares IMO Regards

Lies - Damn Lies and Statistics - Eish take a look at COB - Cobham - If you view LSE the company is 8% DOWN but on BBC news it is 5% UP ! took me a while to figure out but today is Rights Issue Day for COB - so it is down 8% on the old SP but up 5% on the new SP !!!! Strange world the SM ! Still holding all in cash till the market settles down a bit - FTSE 100 back to low of Jan 2017 and if the exchange rate for $US and Euros keeps going up then SM SPs which rely on foreign earnings will keep going down ! I will "keep my powder dry" for the mo to avoid "a flash in the pan" Regards - will look at PAF

Eish - still around but just watching all aspects of the SM carefully. Last Thursday I had the feeling that the SM was overdue a large downward correction so I sold everything and went into cash. Yesterday I bought into LMI at 109p and watched it go to 116p - my instinct was to sell and take the profit but I jumped the wrong way and held on ! Now back to 110p but hopefully will recover today and i can sell out and go back into 100% cash. Great news on the general Election - I have been saying to my wife for 9 months now "Why does May not call a GE ? Big mistake IMO - she would wipe out Corbyn and spike Queen Nicky of Scotland's guns. She would then have an impregnable majority of over 100 - new voting boundaries would lose labour at least 50 seats and the little pipsqueek Farron would have even less MPs !" Roll on 8 June - May can ditch all her deadleg MPs and be as good as Maggie Thatcher as PM - she would also have a much stronger hand to play against the unelected political dictators in Brussels. The SM had a shock yesterday but post June GE it will recover strongly IMO. Best to stay in cash till after the GE. PS - I also predicted the BREXIT result ! I was called crazy by BB subscribers because all the "experts" were predicting a big win for the Remain vote - my reply was "Are these the same "experts" who said Leicester could never win the Cup or the Tories win the last GE or the SNP could not win 65 seats in Parliament ? " Time now to consider the unknown unknowns and ignore the known knowns - LOL I am staying in cash (except for a few daily raids on likely profitable companies) till after 8 June Regards and GL with your own plans

Eish - did you cash in your IRR - they have been at this level before then crashed down ! Today's rise purely on volume of buys IMO - small cap company SP easily swayed by volume of buys or sells ! Glad you made some bucks on GRPH. I made a K or two on other trades so am happy not losing money this year ! Overall about £3K up but some short term gains of up to £5K pulled back down by some losses of £2500 - "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away - blessed be the name of the Lord" I just put some more cash into the "Dogs Trust" charity - my favourite ! "For the greatest qualities in a man are Faith Hope and Charity of which Charity is the noblest !!!" My married daughter is in line for another £500 towards her household running costs too. CEY down as well and LMI - well down - glad I got out of LMI when I did. Cannot understand TLW up 6% - massive debts - ignored by market manipulators. I bought some SOU first thing at 70p - figured it had hit bottom finally. Also in PMO but need to wait for end May refinancing finalised before big rises in SP. Not sure who will be first to declare war on the USA - Little Fat Maniac in NK or Vlad the Impaler or the Mad Mahdi - Trump is showing his mettle - or is that metal ? One thing is for sure LFM must be destroyed soon and his ICBMs and Nukes neutralised. I think President Xi will be secretly happy if the mad noodle eater is removed from China's border. (or is he a Chinese boarder ?) Perhaps this world wide turbulence is upsetting the SMs Shares in computer games "MAD" (Mutual Assured Destruction) and "World War 3" have gone up today - big orders from Russia, Iran and North Korea ! Makes our SM problems look small ! Perhaps after I unload the gold bars I might have to use the second hand tank for its original purpose ? Hopefully the rest of the short week will be better than today Regards
