Eish - forget HOC shares - according to the news - if you buy a second hand Russian tank it comes complete with 5 gold bars in the fuel tank !!! Much better investment than gold companies - £30K to buy the tanks and up to $2 million for the gold bars ! LOL It seems they were possibly looted by Iraqi soldiers from Kuwait ! The police have the gold and are trying to trace the owners. Regards - just checked the fuel tank of my Skoda - no gold bars !

Eish - at first sight and what I see on TV - GRPH is worth a few K punt and hold for a few weeks - or take profits if it continues to go up past 10% or 20%. longer term - 2 years or so - GRPH SP should be much higher My analysis of companies is good but my timing sometimes awful ! I was holding £40K of Lonmin two weeks ago but sold out as it wobbled ! Last two days a phenomenal rise in SP !!! But luck of the game - I did make a few K profit by re-investing the £40K gambling money. Now bought back into PMO and already in profit - expect a big rise from June onwards. HOC is still holding up but "topping" so I do not expect a big rise in SP in the near future - but a good safe share to hold longer term. All IMO only Regards

The usual dip and climb for day trading ! HOC may not be giving huge SP rises at the mo but neither are most other companies - at least our cash is fairly safe for longer term holding. Roll on end of April for a good SP rise - hopefully Regards all

Eish - got me there " its 60 years (not 4 score and 10) " Puzzled now - please explain - I do not recall my making the quote - if it's lifespan then I thought it was 3 score years and 10 (from the Bible - the lifespan of a man) So rush that past me one more time - I need most things explained twice these days my wife tells me ! HOC doing well today - all other majors on my watchlist are down up to 5% - only holding HOC and HUR at the mo. HUR is a great buy today - DOWN on its pre recent RNS which tells of a mega oil discovery west of the Shetlands. When finance and a partner (BP ?) sorted out the SP will fly up - maybe next week ! Eish - many commentators see an end to the use of cash in the near future - with so many on line banking now and most finance done by computer and contactless plastic card payments all the rage - cash does seem to be on the way out. There is even a suggestion that world trading should be done in Bitcoins !!! Common world wide currency ? No more trouble with FOREX On another note I wonder why supermarkets are bothering to convert trolleys to take the new £1 coins - my wife and I use tokens not coins - why go to all the expenses of converting trolleys when you could have a token desk issuing free tokens ? I was always rated as a great problem solver by my RAF bosses ! Regards

shareminator - MM games again today - way down then up - probably finish blue. Next big news end of April so the SP will probably drift sideways till then. Strange things happening on the RNS front - PMO and SOU and HUR and HOC have all produced excellent RNSs and the SP has just gone sideways or down - HUR dropped 10% in two days on news of a mega oil discovery ! According to "Silver Price UK" the price of Ag and Au is consistently DOWN not up Today minus 0.8% Ag and minus 0.4% Au 30 days minus 0.7% Ag and minus 0.17% Au 6 months Minus 4.3% Ag and minus 4.86%Au so either SPUK is way off base or the price of Ag and Au is up and down daily but on average consistently down ! Still waiting for the massive rise in PM prices ! Regards all

Since 1 FEB 2017 the following shares are down - AAL 2% EVR 10% LMI 42% PMO 9% TLW 38% and VED 13% but the following are UP AGK 10% FXPO 11% KAZ 11% ACA 19% HOC 23% and CEY 40% Hold onto HOC for safety IMO but if you fancy a gamble HUR is rising rapidly Regards all

HOC is doing well to hold up today - of 20 major shares on my watchlist only 3 are up and some - SOU PMO etc are well down - next best thing to making money is not to LOSE money IMO Trumpton promised his followers that he would lead them to the "Land of Silk and Money" but as I predicted 3 months ago - the Congress and people of the USA would not support Trumpton's extreme programmes and by now he will be reflecting on how to get his finance and business reforms through Congress ! The world markets today are in deflation because Yellen foolishly raised the Fed interest rate just when she should have held or lowered it and Trumpton has lost his reputation for getting things done. I was thinking that the world markets were too high last month and were due a big correction and it now seems to be hitting. HOC next big news end April - till then the roller-coaster will continue IMO Regards and GL all

interesting the way the MMs crash the SP down to catch stop losses out - happened twice today and happens on most days - sometimes a severe SP drop ! Honest trading this is not ! Regards all

LSE website is run by a computer made of wood IMO - HL website is always reliable and never seems to crash but LSE goes down at the drop of a hat - usually when I am keen to get in and get an update on a SP which is rocketing ! If it was not for the excellent BB chat I would simply use HL all the time. I did think originally that it was my terminal or the connections but each time I have been able to log in to HL etc so NOT a problem with my kit !!! Regards

most Fridays we get a small (or very large) rise in the SP so hope today is one of those ! Shorts closing - down from 2.04% (declared) to 1.01% - good sign ! Regards all

noggers - I think you are spot on with alternate days buy and sell - this SP is being manipulated by the market mafia - so if you time it right you are better off trading than holding LT - no real news till end April so unless we get a big II sel or buyl the SP is at the mercy of the market spivs. My advice to sell at mid day and bouy back just before endex so you avoid the MM markup at 0700 hrs each day ! Eish - had some house guests yesterday so no careful monitoring of the SP - not a good day for most miners - I am watching LMI for recovery and PMO but they are failing at the mo. HOC back to its "bete noir" SP of 273p so we should be due a rise back toward 300p again soon IMO. SM taken fright at Trumpton again and the tragedy in London. I remember watching the screen the day the Japanese Tsunami hit and the world wide crash in SMs - one of the "unknown unknowns" that come out of the blue - perhaps its best to stay in cash like my wife does - earning 2% a year - LOL. This year I am still up about £6K overall and have had some excellent 12% up days (like on HOC) and some disaster days (like on PMO and SOU) so I think I will ride the Big Dipper for a while and see what Summertime brings. Seems strange that on a day when that terrible political "ghost from the past" Tony Blair came on TV trying to whitewash the memory of a completely heartless sadistic IRA killer who was quite happy to murder innocent men women children and even military horses to achieve a political aim and who never expressed remorse for his crimes - another group of political killers should use cars and kitchen knives in a murderous attack on innocent victims in London ! The Romans used to say "Nil sed bono mortui" (speak only good things about dead people) but I despise all terrorists who indulge in wanton murder - no matter what their motives are !
