has anyone seen any official bumph on the re-opening of Inmaculada mine ? I have searched around but cannot find anything about it. A RNS to say "Open and back to 100% production" would rocket our SP back up to the 270p level no probs IMO Regards

noggers - we must always look for the hidden agenda when being talked at by politicians and other "experts" our MPs have had an easy ride in the EU - all the real decisions taken in Brussels and just rubber stamped in UK. Also our MEPs and their relatives have all had their snouts firmly in the financial EU trough. They do NOT want to see an end to the corrupt EU - in all its years of existence the EU commissioners have NEVER passed ONE audit - but they have just ignored reports of bribery and corruption and gone on to continue milking European taxpayers of their hard earned cash. The present EU president is still being investigated by police for corrupt practices. It makes Nigeria look almost honest - LOL Our SP likes being ignored - will we crack 5% today ? Regards

noggers - absolutely agree - I voted for BREXIT to get out of the clutches of unelected political dictators in Brussels - why do our politicians NOT point out that the sword cuts two ways - if the EU wants a trade war with their best paying customer - we can give it to them ! Unfortunately we will have to overcome our own unelected political dictators in the House of Lords !! Why do we need 850 Lords in the Upper House for 65 million citizens when the US Senate has only 100 for 320 million citizens ? I think the vast majority of our people would love to see the Lords abolished and replaced with 100 ELECTED Senators ! When I listen to the Lib Dem pip-squeek Farron with his 7 MPs saying that his Lords will frustrate the will of the people I think "Bring on the tumbrils - get rid of the Lords " And another thing - the HOC SP is rising also !!! Man the barricades - fight for freedom - A bas Les Francais et les Allemands ! Time for coffee - regards all

Eish - if you add up all the costs of US involvement in wars (both domestic and foreign) it comes to about $US 20 trillion - ie the debt owed by US to the world (what about the debt owed by the world to US for defeating Hitler etc ?) I think Trump is right that rich countries like Germany should pay for their own defence - Germany has got very rich not paying for large defence forces but I think the gravy train is now coming off the rails. Greece and Poland remember WW 2 when German forces killed of 20 to 30% of their populations ! Foolishly the Greek govt after WW 2 accepted a cash payment for war losses which was a tiny amount ! So legally Greece has no further claim on Germany !!! What a strange world we live in - incidentally - our own National Debt has been incurred fighting Napoleon - The Kaiser and Hitler - just before the Napoleonic Wars we were debt free under the excellent administration of Prime Minister Pitt (the younger) We need a PM of the same calibre now to get us free from foreign entanglements and associated wars IMO Regards

When the Indian govt withdrew 95% of its currency from daily use it hit gold and silver and diamond purchases very hard indeed as Indians were used to buying these commodities in cash. Also the Arab oil countries have seen a massive loss from their Sovereign Wealth Fund all due to their foolish bid to crush the American oil and gas fracking industries - they should take a lesson from what happened to the Japanese after they attacked the Americans at Pearl Harbour in 1941 - you may win the first round but the Americans will quickly gear up to crush you ! The strongest traits in the American character are innovation - organisation - automation - simplification. American fracking oil and gas will out perform the Saudis and Russia COMBINED in ten years time and this is why the Saudis and Russians are diversifying like mad to end their total reliance on oil and gas revenues. The Ag and Au prices are ridiculous at the mo but market manipulators hold all the cards - as they do on all stock markets ! We will have to wait for better times - maybe mid-year ? - for an improvement IMO Regards all

at first glance I think this is an excellent RNS set of results and the SP should rise accordingly but we have been disappointed before by market reaction to excellent results so we must wait for doors open at 8 to see where the SP will go. No mention of Inmaculada re-opening and this may count against us today. Fingers crossed for a good rise. Regards

nice to see the SP recovered from today's low - will it continue to climb this PM in anticipation of good news tomorrow ? If a good recovery sets in tomorrow I will try to free off more funds to buy into HOC - good SP to buy in at the mo - 18% down on this year's peak SP. Regards all - fingers crossed for tomorrow

noggers - homesite says 8 Mach - (sic) I am guessing wildly that they mean March - LOL PMO results on 9 March if you are in there ! I have been wary of ACA for a while and I thank God it was not one I put any cash into ! Regards

noggers - not much to say - the ball is in the BOD court and until they update us with some good news the market mafia will assume the BOD is hiding bad news and will mark the SP down IMO Until the BOD comes out of purdah on 8 March we know nothing ! I hope the BOD does not just report EYR 2016 results without any mention of progress on Pablo veins at Pallancata or production rate at Inmaculada - if they DO then I think the SP will drop again. We may get two RNSs - one on FY 2016 results and an update on 2017 progress so far - I hope so ! Until then it is just a case of wait and see. Regards and GL

we need to "look on the bright side" at least our SP has bounced back from 232p ! All the other shares on my watch list have stayed super-glued to their low SPs ! Yesterday's surprise rise in COB has been clawed back by 50% today. The end game IMO is next week on 8 March - if the BOD handle things badly we will get hit again - but I am still wondering what the "very good news" is going to be next week. I am concerned that we have had no RNS re Inmaculada - just hope it will all be swept up on the 8th ! Regards and have a good weekend - come back refreshed to the fray on Monday

noggers - we are in the same boat ! Having also taken a stab at PMO "falling knife" I am now £7K down on the week !!! Re HOC - I have learned that if you wait till close of play the SP usually comes back up - sometimes 100% from the lowest point as buyers come in realising that the stock is oversold. Fingers crossed for a PM recovery Every time I lose cash I get more determined to spread the net and get it back on day trades. Some come good in a very big way and keep me in the market. If I lost on every investment I would bang out for good ! A wise man told me 50 years ago - the worst thing that can happen to you is you make big gains when you first invest in the market - better to lose big time and then stay out ! If I had done that I would be about £100K better off over the years but no gambling fun ! Only gamble what you can afford to lose without seriously damaging your health or family fortunes. £2K loss a year for all the thrills and spills is IMO worth while Regards

noggers - all down to BOD refusing to update the market with a RNS IMO Hopefully 8 March will clear the air and bounce the SP. In the absence of good news the market will always assume that the BOD is hiding bad news ! Next week should reveal the truth Regards

Crazy world the stock market - little value seems to be given to accounting rules for a company and 100% value given to daily prices of gold silver and oil to determine the SP - in the old world of trading by post wild changes in SP were very rare barring a complete catastrophe like the Japanese Tsunami - but with instant news and computer trading anything goes ! As we have said before - you are just lucky to be holding shares that suddenly rocket in price. Hindsight is a cruel thing - if we had sold HOC at 286p and bought back today we would be very pleased with a 12% profit - LOL. Ref dumping of silver - this is nothing new - I remember some years back when two brothers tried to take over the global silver market in order to force up prices and make vast profits. The plan collapsed and silver dropped back in a big way. Perhaps this is history repeating itself again ? Glad I only have the one share to worry about now ! Regards

Just checked PM prices - Ag now down to $US 17.76 and Au down to $US 1233. Another bashing day for miners no doubt. I just hope the RNS on 8 March is a really good one. I guess Trump's "Road to Damascus" conversion to statesman has ht the gold and silver prices but is boosting SM values all round the world - LSE and NYSE are hitting new heights all the time ! I must do more research on other sectors for investment - but I am still holding HOC as my main share. Regards all

Seifert - agree entirely - I am not invested here but when I see premium companies Like AAL GLEN KAZ CEY PMO etc all way down today but COB produces a terrible set of results (I was an accountant) and the SP rockets up - clearly the MMs live in a parallel world to the normal people of planet Earth. noggers - apart from COB every big share on my watch list is in the red. Unbelievable that COB produced annual results that should have sent the SP crashing but because they aim to raise £500M on a Rights Issue the SP is UP almost 20% - the market clearly does not live on the same planet as the rest of us - LOL KAZ down about 8% so good job I did not jump in there CEY down about 7% PMO down about 5% Amur down about 8% et al !!!!!! Makes HOC loss quite reasonable again - 8 March cannot come too soon - the market has no facts to work on until our BOD tells us something !!! Regards

Noggers - 2 weeks ago I looked at COB which had crashed down in SP twice recently I bought in at 114p and when it went to 110p I sold out quick - today it is at 135p - LOL As Bradley Walsh says on "Chaser" - "You gotta go wiv your gut feelin !" Regards all - keep monitoring those bargain buys !

noggers - I lost about £22K last year in all the madness but have made back £7K so far this year by being a bit more sensible and not chasing rainbows - never a pot of gold at the end of my AIM investments - LOL New policy to hold most of my cash in HOC and watch the rest of the market carefully for a quick buy in and out. Good job I made a few K on PMO initially which took the sting out of my loss today ! Back to Plan A - wait till at least May before dipping into PMO again. I will also never invest in SOU again until I see the results of the latest drilling at TE 8 - if they do not find the elusive deep gas reservoir it will be all up for SOU I think. Best to stick to major mining and oil companies now they have recovered somewhat this year All IMO only Regards and GL with your own plans
