Almost all the sells are on "Auto" with the sell price set too high - easy meat for the brokers to plunge the SP down to trigger auto sells then push it up to trigger auto buys !!! I never use "auto" for that reason and also - if the SP is crashing there is no guarantee that your stop loss will work at the level you set - you take your turn ! The FTSE dropped hard this PM so that did not help SPs either ! Regards all

Egg - HOC is holding up well today when compared to lots of other SPs --- Hansard down 9% Hardy Oil down 7% Easyjet down 6% Rio Tinto down 5% Centrica down 4% HSBC down 4% (and - 9% on week) Antofagsta down 3%. On the up side -- Fresnillo up 2.5% and Randgold up 2%. HOC has held steady about this SP for weeks now so we are not losing value by holding on for certain news - this is not like SOU where they are gambling on hitting a big gas reservoir by June 2017 ! Or PMO which is sinking like a stone waiting for financial resolution - now delayed to end May 2017 I have been dabbling in side bets on COB and NCC etc and made some good profits but I did not feel safe longer term. I DO feel safe in HOC - we may not be making loads of cash at the mo but I am confident that 2017 will see 300p +++ Regards

Day trippers selling out is bringing down the SP LTH will see the big gains once we get that RNS ! Regards all

egg - I think 300p might give us pause for breath but 500p is possible once we get the uncertainty out of the way ! Regards and GL - SP will be temporarily pulled back a bit each day as day traders cash in and shorters pull out IMO. Very low short level for HOC at the mo - compared to PMO at 6.77% and Tullow at 14.14% top of the shop is Carillion with 23.33% - WOW

Agree entirely - the bulk of my investment cash is in HOC and i am hoping that we get the RNS tomorrow - last working day before the PMO conference at which the HOC BOD will be subjected to a load of questions about inmaculada operations and whether they like it or not - information will slip out IMO. Of course they could pull out of the conference to avoid confrontations - hopefully all will be made clear tomorrow otherwise we will be left in limbo again witha SP drifting sideways - not good for IIs or PIs ! until we get closure on the mine accident and opening of Inmaculada I do not think HOC SP will benefit much from rising PM prices. I did a bit of day trading yesterday on NCC - made 10% and expect further gains today - might be worth a punt for others while we wait for the HOC BOD to wake up and send us a RNS ! Over at NCC the LSE shows a drop of 50% but HL gives only 29% !!!!! IMO we should not make decisions on LSE data before checking HL or other sites ! Regards all - HOC holding up again.

And this site shows a closing SP of 274.3p !!!!!! very misleading. Although the daily graph shows a close of 271.1p - I am part Irish and my folks would say "This is a typical example of the left and right hand not talking to each other !" LOL Regards

Interesting that LSE has different closing SPs to Hargreaves Lansdowne - HL showing HOC near enough even but LSE showing HOC down 1.17% ! I prefer the HL figures. LSE also shows AAL down 3.68% ACA down 2,54% and CEY down 2.05% !!! I have always found the LSE site slow and unreliable so I will use HL figures for decision making. Regards and GL all

HOC has held up at about this level for 3 weeks now so "The only way is up " - IMO. Still holding for news via RNS this week or PMO conference Monday or results first week in March. Still intrigued by rumour of "very good news" in March - turbulent times for miners.and oilys - heavy shorts on Aggreko Ascent Carillion Premier Oil Tullow and also companies like Ocado Mitie and Morrisons ! If I am tempted into any of those companies it will be pure gambling - in and out with 5% or 10% profit (with luck). I still think HOC is a "safe haven" for most of my cash - lost a lot on SOU and gained a bit on Evraz and Enquest and Glencore and Anglo American but I think GLEN and AAL are now "top heavy" so will stay out. Enquest might be worth a quick gamble ? Roll on results time ! Regards all

What on earth is happening to PM miners today - across the board they are crashing and burning ! Ag and Au prices are still good so what are the MMs playing at ? Time to walk the dog and check back tomorrow !

Looking across the board - several of the old favourites like centamin et al are also about 2% down - so not just HOC ! We may pick up this PM when the Yanks open up. Very low volume on trades today - all waiting like us I suppose for definite news from the BOD. Regards all

Eish - have looked at IRR some time back and now looked again. Not for me ! Reasons - very small MCAP - easily manipulated by market mafia. Very few trades - maybe problems selling. No earnings and no dividend. If I did buy in it would be a day trade with fixed target gain of 5%. I think the majority of the companies have now reached a "glass ceiling" and barring extraordinary news SPs will drift. the only longer term share to hold onto is HOC IMO Regards and GL with your own trading

I think the market and PIs are waiting for the definitive RNS from HOC before committing funds - until we get that RNS I think the SP will just wobble around the 274p mark. So come on BOD - produce that RNS ! Eish - will look at IRR - Ty Regards all
