Ag now at $US 18.06 and Au at $US 1238. i did read that our BOD is not hedging its sale prices this year as it expects Ag and Au to go up a lot ! Ag up about 7% in last 30 days - so still looking good ! Regards all and thanks to Egg for the excellent news

On 10 Feb (10 days after the tunnel collapse) VanEck paid £1.4 million to buy shares in HOC. VanEck is one of the biggest investment companies in the world - they must have done "due diligence" before buying the shares - especially after the accident - so I think they had tacit reassurance from the HOC BOD that it was a safe investment to make ! Up North we say "A wink is as good as a nod to a blind donkey" - I still expect a RNS this week - even if it is just a "holding statement" The BOD is bound to get lots of questions at the PMO conference in one week's time - so best clear the air before then - all IMO only Regards all

SP holding its value again despite no RNS !!! When we get a good RNS the SP will fly upwards IMO. Q1 report will be flat (as it is every year) but we may see a boost to earnings due to assets being concentrated on other mines and a rising Ag and Au price. just have to be patient ! Regards all

HOC is not a one trick pony - the richest producing mine is actually San Jose in Argentina - much more valuable than Inmacaulada !!! HOC also has two other large valuable producing mines and several minor ones which can be developed. The important thing is to look at the longer term. HOC IS NOT GOING OUT OF BUSINESS - even if Inmaculada is shut down for a long period the other mines can make up lost production and with the projected rise in Ag and Au prices HOC will do OK IMO. Keep the faith - ups and downs in the SP are normal for all shares - look at SOU - 86p crash down in one day to 78p but a few days later is now at 94p - on no news or RNS - just rumour ! Regards all

With the PMO conference coming up on 27 Feb I think the BOD are running out of time to issue a RNS updating the state of play at HOC. It would be VERY bad behaviour to let the conference know the SOP before the shareholders IMO. Hopefully the RNS will be with us next week and will boost the SP. I am still happy that HOC is maintaining its present level pending news. Regards all

Across the board nearly all major shares have gone down about 2 to 4% since 0900 hrs this AM. Glad to see HOC is still still the only share in the blue on my watch list. Ag back below $US 18 again and AU at $US 1241. We may see a late Friday pick up but otherwise it's hold till next week ! Regards all

Since 27 Dec 2016 till now the SP has risen by 50% - average of about 7% per week ! Still headroom up to at least 300p IMO Regards all and GL with your own plans

Eish - just back from dog walk. Ref your ? - I am only holding HOC again as 5 of my 6 recent punts on other companies lost me from 3 to 8% very rapidly. HOC rising SP has replaced all my losses !!!! I am holding tight and think 300p is very achievable - amazed that Inmaculada and Pallancata problems have not affected the SP - indeed the SP is constantly rising on the average week ! The decision is yours on investment but I look at the following points before buying shares: 1. What is the spread on bid/ask - AIM shares often have up to 40% spread - not worth buying IMO. HOC has 0.18% so little loss on selling 2. What is the MCAP - less then £100M is a risk to buy unless you are in short time and only want 5 or 10% profit 3. What are the 52 wk SP high and low - is there still headroom for a rise ? 4. How many trades in a day - I have been surprised by AIM shares going up 30% on only 5 or 6 trades - they must be big money ! 5. Is the company making money ? Not a really big issue as most major companies are NOT at the mo - beware companies with massive borrowings or massive over-issue of tens of millions of discounted shares to II or swapping equity for cash 6. Is there a dividend - companies with very large dividends are often in trouble Hope all the above is useful Open house to any other punters who may add or disagree with my synopsis Regards all - GL with your decision Eish - worth a punt IMO - longer term all production problems will be solved.

Out of 12 major shares I am watching - only HOC is in the blue so far today despite Inmaculada problems - this proves what a great share this is IMO. Regards all

Eish - Yellen is on her last legs and will be gone soon - Trump already has a replacement lined up. Yellen has been a disaster for stock markets always talking about rate rises but not actually doing it ! Like in UK - a rate rise would hit mortgage holders and businesses badly so it's a brave politician who goes down that route ! Regards

News tomorrow would be great although we can't complain about a dropping SP - unlike lots of punters today - Cobham in particular ! But lots of others in the barrel today. HOC is floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee - pace Cassius Clay ! Another good day today - RNS at 0700 hrs would be icing on the cake
