Eish Nogcock (a good name for the home team - LOL) Being part Scot I think HOC AYE is a good team chant ! Really good info and discussion guys and gals - ref the RNS might bring down the SP if it contains bad news - the bad news is already in the public domain so the sooner we get an answer to "how bad" the better IMO. The market has already priced in a degree of bad news and if the RNS gives BETTER news the SP will soar ! "Better the Devil we know than the Devil we do not know !" And as Donald Rumsfeld said "When all the known knowns and the known unknowns are known the only variable to be accounted for is the unknown unknowns which can never be known !" I love it when a politician comes right out and answers a question clearly and honestly - LOL Au and Ag prices looking good again today Some big share sales after hours last night - uncrossing trade and others so SP may well go up and down again like yesterday - but I hope the SP does not drop so low again today Once we get Inmaculada back on line and the Pablo veins are in full production at Pallancata we should quickly motor through the 300p level and upwards IMO Regards all

I have just E mailed Charles Gordon at HOC to ask if a very general RNS could be issued ref Inmaculada progress - I appreciate that most information is "sub judice" but a "Hi there" RNS would reassure us all I am sure. I may get a "wait and see" reply or we may get a generalised RNS - in my experience "If you don't ask you don't get" and a week should be enough to let us know the magnitude of the accident and a provisional estimate for re-opening Regards all

Eish - HOC surviving well again today compared to ENQ -7% FXPO -4% CNE -4% VED -4% PMO -4% KAZ -3% and LMI -3% - after burning my fingers last week in LMI and SOU I have decided that HOC is the safest hole to hide in at the mo ! Still the only share I am holding till we see which way the SM is going to bounce this Spring (no pun intended) LOL Regards

I do not use stop losses or auto buys - seen too many people caught out on brokers plunging SPs - I notice the vast majority of trades in HOC ARE auto buys and sells ! Still no RNS and the SP is holding up Ag now $US 17.83 and AU $US 1243,31 - PMs motoring steadily upwards Regards

Eish - fascinating article ! HOC of course is 50% gold and 50% silver production so we have a win win game going for us IMO. Did you know that the biggest gold nugget ever found was at Moliagul in Victoria Australia in 1869 by John Deason and Richard Oates - they had been using it as a seat for eating their midday meal until chipping off part of it they found a nugget which weighed 2520 troy ounces (gross) - 78 Kg or 173 lbs. The net yield was 71Kg or 157 lbs of pure gold ! Putting the last of my reserves in HOC is paying off brilliantly at the mo. I have been looking at short positions for other companies and unlike HOC with about 1% the biggies are - Carillion at 23% - Ocado at 18% - Tullow oil at 15% - Mitie at 14% and Debenhams- Aggreko and Ascent all at about 9% - I am not going to dip my investing toe into any of those ! All IMO only ! Regards

there is obviously a mega driving force at work on the SP today - IMO it is either a re-opening of Inmaculada or a major PM discovery in the Pablo veins at Pallancata - either way i am very happy ! I expect a RNS soon to give reasons in writing for the SP rise !!!! Regards all

Hen - very small percent on short positions - and closing - so unless punters are spread betting then all should be happy ! Be great to crack 10% today - we are already Top of the FTSE 250 Risers again today. If it does this good with the flagship mine closed - what will the SP be like when the mine re-opens ? I am still intrigued as to what " happy surprises" the BOD will publish first week in March (assuming that the Inmaculada accident has not negated that good news !) Regards

noggers - maybe the word on the street is that the initial mine survey is not so bad that the mine must stay closed for a long time ? As the old Navy bosuns said "There is more than one way of skinning a cat " (the "cat" was the cat of nine tails used to flog defaulters - and "skinning" was the way you spliced it - often the bosun "nocked" the edge of the tails so it acted like a hacksaw on the backs - hard men in those days !) ref Inmaculada - there are several work faces and galleries so the AIB may allow limited re-opening - just my thoughts ! Eish - not selling at all - waiting for £3 or £5 longer term. I learned my lesson last year with AAL and GLEN - buying and selling with 10% profit then doubting the SPs would go any higher so I put the cash into "safe" shares like BARC - LOL - lost all my profits waiting for BARC to pick up. If I had bought and held AAL or Glen in January - mega profits on the year ! I doubt we will see another crash like 2016 in 2017 but expect a pullback in bank shares and builders.
