shorts recently increased from 1.23 to 1.81 on insider trading IMO - hence the drop today to reward the shorters

marked down the SP to 270p because that was the SP Mr HOC got for his shares - when the hysteria goes away I see a rise back to the 300p glass ceiling (or beyond) Remember that the market works only on fear and greed - we have had the fear factor so next up is the greed as people like me buy in with all our reserves to make a few quid !!! Overall I still think that HOC is the safest place for the bulk of my investment money (at the moment all of my investment money) Regards all

Mr HOC sale of £41M shares represents about 3% value of MCAP so the drop in SP is well overdone and I see lots of buy orders coming in because investors have seen the HOC SP bouncing off 300p and expect it will soon go back up there. Time will tell but I am happy with the present SP - gives more head room ! Regards all - will we see a Friday PM sell off across the board ?

noggers - I have gone the other way today just sold my side bet PMO and bought more HOC - 7% discount is good value IMO. I fully expect the SP to go back soon to 290p + Regards

Eish - Gold morning to you - I was beginning to doubt my sale of profits last night but I think now that I did the right thing - not good PR for the HOC owner to be selling lots of shares and the market may well mark down the SP - April news may well boost the SP again but the last two RNS did nothing for the SP. I think there may well be a fall back in SP and the 300p glass ceiling will stay intact. Ref side bets - TLW shock announcement of massive issue of heavily discounted shares to clear debt - will put TLW on my radar and may buy again when the dust settles - I was in TLW but quit after a short while with about £200 loss - no problem but I did not like the way the company BOD was going ! I am holding PMO for a while to see if they can shake off their debts and allow the SP to continue to rise. Regards and GL with your own plans

Eish: My profits have gone into PMO - up 22% in two days and more to come now finances are nearly all sorted out. I was confident HOC would hit 290p again but the glass ceiling seems to be at the 300p level and not much headroom above that - back in 2012 the SP reached 500p but in between times it has struggled at low levels. I am keeping my "safe" money in HOC but I reckon PMO in the next few weeks is worth a daily gamble - but it needs watching carefully ! Apologies for the off topic guys but we are all here to make profits so tips on other shares are welcome as far as I am concerned ! Supergut - not raining on the parade but I remember 286p recently which crashed back so I will sell profits at 290p and keep gambling stake - if the SP crashes down again I will buy back at lower SP and if it rises I will be in more profit ! AAL up on spec of VED move ! Cash in while you can. KAZ another one to take profits this AM. All IMO only. GL guys with your own plans

Eish - could be any one of those causes - Calling of Article 50 next week ? - Wilders becoming Dutch boss man and declaring war on Erdogan ? - Marine le Pen becoming chief Frog and taking France out of the EU and the Euro ? - Little Fat Slob Leader in North Korea letting off his rockets ? - Trumpington producing his new budget - already said cut UN and NATO funding - make others pay their fair shares (which I agree with !) The bulk of my cash is still in HOC but I did do a sneaky side bet on PMO when it hit 52p - got in at 55P and sold this PM for £4396 profit !!!! makes up for my loss on SOU (£2400) and my previous loss on PMO (£1200) I do not mind the ups and downs as long as I do not lose heavily - gambler's thinking - Pay up and roll the dice and may the best man win ! I am eyeing up ENQ for a side bet next but the 10% rise in SP today threw out my timing - I chose PMO - up about 15% ! Regards and GL with your own side bets

Eish - I once knew a noble lady with a pedigree Afghan hound - when i asked it's name she said "Fido !!!" I said that with such a wonderful dog he should have an exotic name and the lady replied " We spell it Phydeaux !!!! Eish - TY for the info. HOC flat lining today - waiting for Yellen and the NYSE reaction and other results this week - good news in April and May from our BOD should get us going up again. Till then I am happy to go sideways having lost (and gained) a few K jumping in and out of other shares - but overall no great losses ! Regards

today is the Ides of March but hopefully HOC est Veritas (this share remains true - apt pun on words !) I remain convinced that HOC is a safe share to hold onto in troubled times - despite the recent market manipulation sending the SP down - we are back now at our glass ceiling level and will need some good RNS news to push through and upwards - "Per Ardua ad Astra" - through difficulty to the stars- ( or alternatively "It's hard work owning an Astra" LOL) Keep the faith fellow investors - look at the carnage on other SPs yesterday !

Ag just picked up to $US17.01 and Ag up to $US 1206. SP might pick up a bit this PM. On my watchlist of 15 major companies only HOC and ACA are in the blue ! PMO getting murdered now - will the company survive ? Regards all

miners up yesterday - miners down today - pays the brokers wages ! HOC is best in show again today so far amongst the miners - just have to wait for the big upswing again. Regards all

Eish - back in 2012 I got bored investing in just one safe share so I put £10k in each of 4 racing shares - oil and gas - a few days later I had lost 20% of each share when they drilled dry holes ! Taught me not to jump into shares that depend entirely on one drill hole hitting the mother lode - that is why I am well clear of SOU ! Regards

Eish - what a player HOC is - straight thru our old glass ceiling at 272p - next target 290p ! Be great if we get near that today - or this week ! i do not know what caused the big jump in SP yesterday and today but I have been saying for a while that the statements of accounts look great and justify a big rise. Presumably the last drop in SP was the last kick of the shorters ? Hopefully we can now go forward to full scale production from Inmaculada and a big surprise from the Pablo veins at Pallancata - San Jose is also looming for new development - once the last small debts are paid off (this year ?) then we have 5 or 6 new sites to exploit. Longer term this will be back up to the £5 +++ level IMO Regards and GL - how did your side bet go ? I bet on KAZ and made 5% but should have put it into HOC at 12% LOL. By midday yesterday I was convinced we could not hold 12% till close doors - Stupid Boy Pike !!! I am happy to say.

Eish - Gold morning to you. I think part of the reason for the recent SP drop was shorts closing - down from 1.69% (declared) to 1.23% now. Flash Gordon suggested that the whole SP drop was down to dropping commodity prices - well what happened yesterday ? Ag down to 16.97 and Au 1205 and our SP went UP 12% - so I do NOT think that is the only reason. A combination of shorters actions and a lack of information and market manipulation swaying investors buying and selling is more relevant IMO. Performance today and the rest of the week may be limited by "headroom" - 290p seems to be the next glass ceiling to break but we may get held at 272p for a while. All IMO only !
