Eish - you are an early bird today - is it because you are on a course ? or just finished ? I am looking forward to HOC getting back to the 290p level soon but suspect that the market mafia may hit PM miners today if they can ! seems to be very volatile with no sign of the PM price rises we were promised ! Maybe prices will rise after the General Election and France settling down. Regards

I just looked at FRES share graph for the last 12 months and it is almost identical to HOC so whatever is manipulating our SPs must have a common base ( give or take things like new discounted share offers or bulk selling by directors) ! reinforces my view to stick to HOC regards all

Eish - you must not ramp this share - follow my discreet example - " Last year at this time of year the SP was about 128p by August the SP had risen to about 330p - a rise of 157% - it seems logical that our SP will rise to peak again in August this year tho not IMO 157% but I will be happy with 100% - best not to be greedy ! There you are Eish modesty is the rule ! Regards

We must all stand by our investing decisions ! Back in 2009 I bought BDEV shares at 120p (down from 240p) I sold my last BDEV shares at 100p (breaking even overall) Recently I looked at BDEV again 620p !!!!!! If only we had accurate foresight to match our hindsight LOL. However since 2010 I have had great times gambling on the SM and am not too fay down overall ! Looks like I may get my target SP a day early - can we hold ? Regards

HOC is top of my 25 companies to watch today - my list includes big guys like AAL and GLEN etc. HOC SP about the same rise today as HUR but HOC is producing bars of gold and silver but HUR is still to pump loads of "black gold" out of the UKCS Regards all

I was watching the RNS list the day that HUR announced the discovery of the biggest oil field in the North Sea in 40 years - at 0802 hrs I bought £30K (my usual bet) of HUR and watched amazed as the SP dropped 8% in two days - lost £2400 AGAIN - so no more HUR for me - I should have known better - I was watching HUR for weeks wondering why it was not performing very well and staying well clear but I did think the RNS would have bounced the SP upwards in a big way ! The problem is that HUR is too small to develop the field and oil in the ground has no value until it is siphoned out and sold so the market judgement seems to be that until HUR gets a big partner or sells out to a big boy like BP the company is not that commercial. Just my experience but once bitten twice shy for me ! PS HOC has never let me down although I have been lucky - not getting too greedy but selling out at 10% or 20% rise and buying back in on the lows - last buy in about 233p ! Regards

Cannot beat cash in hand ! I wish I had pulled my £30k out of SDX when it was going down and I had a loss of £1K - I was getting very bad vibes due to lack of RNS on the deeper drilling but reluctant to take a £1K loss ! When the "dry hole" RNS came out I sold out and lost about £4K - put the cash into buying more HOC and regained £1500 back in profit in just a few days - swings and roundabouts ! I am still holding as I think (given a fair wind) HOC can make 285p again very soon. Regards

HOC seems to be a slow starter - not really taking off until about 0900 hrs ! but hopefully will hold onto gains today - may retrace a bit Friday PM but I have seen an unexpected 12% UP on a Friday previously so who knows ? Regards

275p the next glass ceiling IMO followed by 282p then the big one at 300p - last year I think we made about 330p ! Regards

must be time for day trippers to sell out and pull the SP down a bit - once they are gone I hope the SP will recover again. Regards all

eggonaroll - no worries with HOC at the mo - I am looking for over 270P by about 17 March (if my master plan holds good) but forecasting SPs is a real hostage to fortune and tempts Fate (and the brokers to knock it down !!!) regards

Ionic - I was hoping for 263P !!! Only recently this SP was head butting 290P - so way to go yet. No valid reason for this big fall in SP - just market manipulation IMO. But brokers need to take care they do not kill the golden goose by pushing the SP too far down. Last year it hit about 340p so lots of headroom here. Regards and GL with your own plans

Eish - I once took a photo of a USAF Stealth bomber at an airshow but it came out blank - a USAF Major said - that proves the stealth measures work doesn't it ! Did you look at the water companies ? 80% up - no problem !!! Regards

noggers - speak to a manager - my wife did and they backed down and gave her a very cheap deal to keep her custom. I did the same a few years back with British Gas - I started to change supplier and I got a phone call asking why I was changing - I replied "To save £250 a year" I was told that if I stayed with BG they would give me a "welcome payment of £250" but I would have to leave and rejoin as a new customer - a lot of messing about but it worked and I did get £250 back and a cheaper deal. Presently I am with Xtra Energy and they are fine - two fixed price contracts on very low tariffs but when they contact me with 6 weeks to go to endex - if the deal is no good I will go to PFP energy - the small suppliers are below the radar for the govt so do NOT join the warm homes etc programmes so can offer £100 to £200 less on the annual bill than the big 6 !!!
