More likely they see a bottoming out of the share price at the moment. That's if political parties a. get back together b. agree to pass it c. don't put it on the backburner for ages

The works have to commence by Nov 26 otherwise the ML could be declared null and void that would be my understanding so yes I should have said that the works commencement date needs to be increased until approx 2028

If a mineral based company fails there will be plenty of others to pick up the slack with no harm done, same as the bio

As Dog says HarL cant fail I would rather say wont be allowed fail

It will simply screw things up to much for The MOD in their attempts trying to spread workload and stop duopoly

perhaps bod of HARL and many other companies with high debt were hoping for a quick peak and perhaps anticipating a turnaround downwards of rates if inflation came down enough to get better deals. Does not look likely so perhaps the funding will just have to be taken at a higher level than they hoped for.

Hi Rumelt yes you are totally right, lack of crew and sonar is a major issue It is well documented

They are proud members of the UN and just about able to support their duties in that capacity with one ship tied up there Three ships due to be scrapped due to age leaves five new fitted sonar is a stop gap measure At some stage they will have to bite the bullet and decide as an island nation if they are going to have a proper working navy; or just keep drifting along with an attitude of ah sure the brits will always be there if we need them.. in addition to cables etc with the massive drugs seizure off Waterford how many other ships are actually getting through and not getting found out? A Neutral public does not have an appetite for drugs constantly coming into its shores either...

Lse It could get very interesting with ROI government as well as badly needing Energy security, they also badly need Naval security to protect the undersea cables in Atlantic along with all other operations, (they cant rely on trawlers to monitor the russian navy and a link up with NATO will not sit well with neutral public) so their naval presence needs dramatically beefed up - currently only two ships out of seven in operation they are spending close to 1.8bill on the n.c.hospital so money can and will be found if deemed necessary enough.

If HARL go down this route re IM I would like to think they can exert some leverage on R.O.I. naval future as well i.m.o.
