Lottie re 9:31 400 that's a big percentage of the workforce lottie..! So, imagine the future "reception" that would be handed out from a burnt shareholder workforce for all these politicians that love to rock up to Harl whenever they're in town to get a selfie /instagram photo shoot thingie in front of the ships/rigs/cranes When the dust settles; some pis will be disgusted with what is currently being portrayed in the media and all these new posters tuppence worth.
Apothecary re 22:49 As it currently stands you are basing your comment entirely on a newspaper article. This all has to play out yet p.s. I m not disagreeing or agreeing with you but there is skullduggery going on.
As to the mod article about award to Zodiac for Intercept and Escort Craft-there is no trace of this anywhere apart from the Navy article, not even on facebook of Zodiac? there's def stories being put out there in media to cause stir and I would not even be surprised to learn that foreign bodies were behind it all.
BC I would say so.. One thing I cant have is hypocrites, so you would expect to see some critical comments over the years of Cons Heb BP etal from the King of Negativity-just for balance, you know. Unless the King agrees totally with their points of view-in which case how could they buy shares? anyway, i'm off for a while.
Ah, Connie
lovely "Latin" name... BT When she stops posting up tripe she will get a break i'm sure. but so good of you to "protect" her. One of her last ones was especially distasteful, but I suppose quite understandable from her point of view... and quite a few upticks for it this bb really is infected like no other.
Hmm🤔 wonder how today fits in with the chartist's trend lines?
my take, The Times will get away with the article as it will cost too much legally to fight and for what gain?.
good positive on the 180m and a surprisingly positive reaction from the gmb union as well that no-one seems to have commented on?
UKEF have gone from a 50b to 60b fund but no longer supporting the Oil and Gas Industries that would have eaten into this; so they now need Harl and similar companies to back instead. its all a done deal as far as I am concerned. just accounts & Flands contract to show future rev coming in and then UKEF can close off all i.m.o. back in 3 weeks ( unless there's more stupid articles appear ha. )
Going to leave this chat board for a little bit until some proper news drops. All this upheaval discussion has been premature by 6 weeks and has added nothing but rancour i.m.o. so back "hopefully" sooner rather than later..
Heb Can you Elaborate and Justify your comment -" truth is you fancied a quick buck"
You have stated this as fact so on what factual information or even any sort of basis are you stating this?
regarding Lottie; she is very well respected and so her posts provide good info, discussion and are valued. And if you have read my posts you will know that I am in agreement with her and many others and not all positive about the bod.
Lottie, You asked for thoughts please, and my thought is that you have just had a bad day!
Rev for H+W on paper has been 15.4m and the latest 25.5m(marginally over) with now a "forecast" of 80m When the UKEF is set at a 25m minimum entry, they have not been able to qualify i.m.o. Do UKEF accept forecasts? I doubt it. also, spent "hundreds of millions" to me implies 200-300m -that's being a tad dramatic with numbers. I believe Finance will go hand in hand with Year end accounts in June(not long now) and the accounts may be held back late until hopefully confirmation of F.lands. As for all the rest i.e. lack of info/communication,lack of cfo buying shares-well we can all agree on that. However; building up a fabrication co./shipbuilder to go from these low turnovers to 80m and then to 200m is just about as fast as it can go i.m.o.
Xenor re 12:35 Have you read the Admin's review of the scrutiny comm.?
If so then you would not say that he is one sided at all. He was scathing of the IOSSC and i.m.o. seemed very balanced considering that he may well have shares in IOSSC as well as family / friends involved.
It would be as hard to find a neutral person in the Scilly Isles as it was trying to find a neutral juror for Trumps trial.
No Broomtree again you're wrong. The same principle can be applied to H+W if they were to become a prime contractor to the MOD and then instead of supporting smaller SME in the MOD supply chain; they instead take them over.
Anything outside of the Defense Industry is not relevant to this.
"looks like a serious loss making business at least for a few years" Well you're just doing what you criticise others for and wildly guessing, unless of course you can back this up with known figures ?
website, lease on AW,booking agents, eh yeah! operating costs! why did you not just add in wages and fuel as well. As to £500 on helicopter rides, well the people that availed of this will prob be praising Scilly ferries from the rooftops. probably the cheapest advertisement they will get. considering you mentioned previously that they should be spending at least £250,000 on marketing and promotion..
BT for a start, Iossg are not part of the Defence industry ! This article is entirely about Defense and also H+W are not a Prime contractor. Your comparison is not valid.
If they were appointed as a prime contractor and given reassurance of ongoing contracts well into the future, then they would not have needed to get involved in Ferries.

good article in DF especially after the recent NI defense enquiry
Gov/MOD need to support SME like Hydra and Evolve otherwise they will get gobbled up; just like Molloy Aero..
and then back to the cycle of big primes getting bigger and controlling agendas/sme's struggling ...
I don't recall any post by BP being offensive t.b.h.?, but maybe there was one and it was taken down before being read by all. don't agree that all his posts from years are removed, makes no sense.
With a constant spread of 8% and a stagnant range of 12.5 to 13.5 for ages it would be good to see a positive RNS put up over the long weekend to shake things up on opening Tue. morning and hopefully break this cycle..
