Interesting read on the blend LSE, always good to know about ongoing developments relating to Hydrogen as it is all so new to many of us . Only "Idiots" would complain about a poster putting up general info that might aid someone else.

You actually started the thread ! re Scillonian 4 "LUF UPDATE" and when I go in and read the commentary on FB regarding it as it is the most relevant and recent discussion on the situation and then post my own comment here, you are immediately in trying to discredit it, so unless you are able to post up other recent threads from Islanders that give similar discussions you should perhaps try to resist your "urge" to reply to everything!!
The reaction from the Islanders has not been good with overwhelming dissatisfaction with the "ISSG"and nearly all negative comments directed at the ISSG (not H & W) just to make it clear for anyone that didn't read up, and were instead relying on posters here...
SiD 10:02 re Aremiti Is it possible that rather than lease this vessel that HW could be waiting on funding and looking to purchase it outright ? I thought I seen it up for sale for $8.5m ? They have no substantial outlay regarding this currently, so its not like they have to get it up and going immediately to start paying down operating costs.
If HW were to try and grow organically as some may like then the Gov. will be waiting a long, long time to see a third defense ship build contractor. A Big Expansion Plan is needed to get there quick. In the past month we have had the ceo of UKEF and the shadow Def Sec,(not for long) at our yard. The huge investment in modern production equipment that will deliver on speed; quality and techniques (not funded by HW) also aid this big expansion. How could any shareholder not be happy with these developments and suggest that a more organic slower route is better. They should not be investing in a high growth stock which by its nature carries high risk. To cry wolf about over expansion and red flag it.?

makes no sense, other than "just another" opportunistic underhand dig at H+W for no good reason.
Heb, 2023 has been and gone and Dir's I presume know they're going to struggle making those figures. I'm talking about at this specific time waiting on UKEF to come through or not; and if the directors wanted to buy in more shares as soon as they could at this price. It doesn't seem to matter what they put out on a RNS, its not doing anything for SP so maybe a different approach. it is a year since either bought now. but JW has not sold any either. I believe JW talked about making a profit of 1m at 200m Revenue but that was a long time ago. it could be anything between 170-260m ( a 90m diff.) No-one knows and that's a big hurdle for many.
I don't recall mention of dividends. if so then Berm.. point becomes v.relevant. If IM comes through financially the way some think; then HW can only retain a small percentage of it, if any i.m.o.
The lack of appetite from investors is understandable until Accounts Finance & IM are reported, so getting RNS on cruise ship contracts etc. wont change anything i.m.o. and I guess the Dir's know this too.
If I was a ceo and not able to buy shares as being precluded... I would be content for the SP to remain low.
Why issue positive RNS on contracts to drive the price up while you're out.
also,All the new hires going on are not to replace people leaving as far as I can see anyway, so why take on increased overheads if the work isn't there or finance was going to be a problem. Patience needed. (a lot of it! lol)
p.s. its worth noting that 1/5 of the Wage bill is apprentices which HW would be getting assistance in a small capacity with through grants as well.

I think there will be a bit of political fallout over this ship no matter what. its a 50-50. Europe will expect ROI gov to award to a European contractor but with the push to link North and South of Ireland(esp from SF) and all the "talk" from Irish ministers wanting to support the Northern economy / cross border bodies, it will not go down well if its awarded to anyone other than H&W !
pesronally, I think investing in a single 300m ship is a mistake. Would much prefer 3-4 smaller units that can be utilized fully for surveillance,patrols, rescue, customs support etc.
BP It would be nice for a change if perhaps yourself,Heb et'all had even a smidge of positive things to say.
At the end of the day, H&W is about 1000+ workers and creating an Industry that was being abandoned. If JW was not at the Helm, Would you invest?
p.s. If I lose money the buck stops with me. JW didn't reach into my pockets and pull my money out.
