Good evening sidi my friend, if only all of my shares were in profit?, i'm not as confident as yourself with trading, so for that reason i try to stick with the ones that have looked after me in the past, lgen/aviv and mng are all in profit and have topped up on them in the past when dropped below my average, dlg as you know took a big drop due to inflation, so i need 2.50 to break even on that, thankfully is slowly coming back psn same story and i need £15 to break even L

Hi Mole, I think you are right once again, as I'm seeing my other shares rising at a much faster rate, will possibly sell 50% and hold onto the rest, but will wait a bit longer and see if can at least make a bit of progress from its current sp

Good evening sidi, well i'm seeing gains from most of my shares lately, lgen/aviv/mng/dlg/psn/lloy all apart from poor old vod, if only we knew for sure that it will continue, let's see where they all are by April exdiv, a good bull run would be very welcome

phyl, personally i pool all my dividends together and put them wherever seems good value at the time depending on the current share price, but i'm a bit heavy with lgen as it's my second largest share next to Lloyds, wish it was the other way around, but it depends on what works best for you at the time

Not sure why some are being so impatient wanting to sell at this price, hopefully this will be a lot higher by April exdiv, if not i will enjoy collecting the dividends until it gets better

But for all that have been investing their hard earned money here, surely they must have a target price they hope to get back for their investment, as you wouldn't invest for dividend alone, i know what mine is and that's a min £1 for my last top up of 86p

What are the expectations of the majority here, can you see this getting back to a £1 or more sometime next year, just curious what you are all thinking and hoping to get from This share

Saintly, why didn't you tell me that before, i could have sold lgen for 3.10 and rebought for 220 ish, I am only joking about that of course, some very good advice from you as usual , but for myself i would only do that with shares i was familiar with for fear of getting my fingers burn't, my funds on the other hand i would prefer to just let them grow, the problem at the moment is that not many shares are getting to the top of their previous trading range

sidi it's ok for you as i know you have a lot of experience, and mostly i think you enjoy doing it, the thrill of the chase

MRmath, its good to know I'm not alone, and it's not just uk shares I also have have 8 funds mostly international and no movement there either, as most of these are in my sipp they could do with a good dose of steroids, let's hope 2024 will give us a bit of a bull run

Hi Fleccy, yes i totally understand those options, it's just a shame this share has put us in this situation though, and if you've got money to invest it's always a difficult decision where is going to be the best place to invest it for the best return, I thought my last top up here was a bargain at 86p, let's hope this bugger can turn around and reward us, I know what Dan will say that's stay positive, difficult sometimes though, i don't want to sell any of my shares for under a £1 and thankfully i'm in no hurry to sell, so let's see what 2024 will bring us

Dan, you are the King of sarcasm mate, as much as i like fleccy i'm not sure he will ever admit this has been a bad investment

This is of course the worst situation you can get into when investing in any shares, you buy in because you think it's a company that's going to grow technology of the future etc.

then the share price drops and keeps on dropping every year, so you are now trapped in this share with only two options sell up at a loss or stay in collect the dividends and hope that one day it will come back good again and return your capital, but let's be clear there's no guarantee that will ever happen

where this will go from here nobody knows, let's hope it's up

Good morning sidi, I think you may be jumping in a bit too quickly calling this share a dog, I have been invested here for many years and this has been one of the most reliable dividend payers i know of even paying out full dividend covid time, it also has a very good track record for increasing the dividend each year and the share price has always come back good

having said all that like every one else i am disappointed with the current share price, so i will do a deal with you

If the share price is still below 260 by April ex div, i will agree with you and call it a dog, remember these are difficult times and not many shares are at their max trading range, take a look at dlg and see what effect inflation has had with that one with a cut dividend

Dan, I was thinking of doing a chart to illustrate how you can lose more money on your capital than you get back in dividends if the share price keeps dropping every year, but i didn't want to be a wet blanket

as long as we finish on a high tomorrow i will be happy with that for this week

Yields are not that great though considering what you get here, and also a good chance of decent growth from this current sp, also i do think of this share as fairly low risk, but thanks for the info guys.

Fleccy, i like that one, I hope i don't have to wait 30 years to catch up though, i will be too old to enjoy it ;-)
