This share was over £2 a share when Nick Reed took over in 2018 and look where it is now, of course we don't know if the new CEO mdv will do any better but it's going to take time, let's wait and see how this turns out, i don't see how she can do any worse

inflation and higher interest rates are not being kind to most businesses at the moment

Md, well we all want you to be right about that, but with all the bad that have going on in the world the last few years, who knows what will happen next, the good thing is we are being rewarded for holding in the way of dividends, so fingers crossed that you've got that right

The only thing i do know is since i have been invested in lgen it's been one of the most reliable dividend payers even in bad times, and has a good track record for increasing it's dividend each year, let's hope that can continue and we will see this back to £3 in the not too distant future, in the meantime enjoy collecting the dividends

but always remember nothing is guaranteed on the stock market, so don't invest more than you can afford to lose on any one share

I only wish i took my own advice sometimes, i have learnt the hard way with some shares

Dan, Mole maybe right in the long term perhaps, but for me personally as i'm already invested here, i want the dividend to stay and the sp to increase as soon as possible before i'm too old to enjoy it, and of course if the sp increases the dividend yield will be less a win win

Mole _man, looking at what happened to directline after they cut their dividend, the share price has dropped by 50% don't you think the same would happen here, i can't see why anyone would want to invest here if no dividend, and it would be a long journey back to a £1 if this drops down to 50p

ARMANI, waiting until Q3 update 16th November before adding sounds like a good idea, would like to buy back the half i sold at 4.20 before April ex div, hopefully not above my 3.80 average, as we all know though anything can happen between now and then, it sure would be nice to start making money from shares again, instead of losing more on capital than getting back in dividends, which is the often the case with a lot of shares and funds these days

Well that's a nice thought and of course what we are all hoping for, let's hope it can get some momentum going on approach to next April's exdiv

Glad i sold off half of my shares at 4.20 on the rumours spike, want to buy them back as i like this company, the question is when and how much more can this drop before a turn around

Providing the dividend does not drop i expect this will come back stronger eventually, but not until inflation and interest rates drop, and can't see that happening anytime soon there's too much bad stuff going on in the World at the moment and fuel and energy costs will not help this winter, I'm already a bit heavier than i would like to be here, so would not top up unless it drops quite a bit below £2, hope that does not happen but think it's very likely it will

don't know about the rest of you, but my portfolio/pension pot is looking a bit sad at the moment with the shares and funds in decline

hope we don't have to wait too long for things to improve

It's fasten your seat belts and put your tin hats on i think, just can't see a turning point happening for a while, i expect fuel and energy costs will contribute to pushing up inflation and interest rates this winter

not trying to single out lgen all of my shares and funds are being pushed down, although nothing is guaranteed lgen has previously been one of the most reliable dividend payers and hopefully that will continue, let's hope something good will happen in the not too distant future to bring on a bull market, as my portfolio is looking a bit sad at the moment

Good evening Sidi mate, the way things are going with all of my shares, i wouldn't be surprised if it drops back to £3.50

not having a go at aviv, it just seems to be the trend with all my shares including lgen, i also have 8 international funds and it's the same story there, if you look at the likes of fund smith, it grew 75% from 2018 to January 2022 then dropped back from then onwards, and pretty much the same with them all, thankfully most of my shares are still paying out dividends so far apart from dlg, let's hope inflation and interest rates will drop in 2024
