Garonne, If it's good for the increasing the share price i will be all for it, 3 is a loss making company so how it will work out in reality i don't know, hopefully the Vodafone results in November will be better than expected and give this a boost

Would you want to take out a phone contract with Vodafone knowing a big part Chinese, i think it would put me off

So far Labour have acted worse than the old Tory party, taking away from pensioners and giving big pay rises to those who are already on big money, Politics to one side, this share has been going beyond my expectations lately, and it's not often i can say that, getting a good dividend and also capital gains, i wish all of shares were the same

Islandgirl, the upcoming dividend is only 6p, so not sure how much you are expecting it to rise by ? the share price has been disappointing here for a few years now, it might come good again but it might not, there is no guarantee that it will go back up to £3 again anytime soon, dividend is good but when you have capital loss the total returns are not so great

Come on Mole, they have cut the dividend in half plus the buybacks will reduce the amount of shares they have to pay dividends on, and have been debt, not sure how well a merge with a failing Chinese company would work though, any thoughts on that guys

Hi Dan, well i'm probably the worst one here for predicting the share price, but let's hope i'm right in predicting it will keep rising by a cple of pence each week and keep going in the right direction, hopefully 80 is not too far away

Gutter, not at all, I share his belief that the share price can get higher than it currently is, i don't know if the CEO and board of directors are doing a good job or not, my only interest is hoping they can improve their performance enough so i can get 90p, am i expecting too much i don't know, Dan knows very well what a bad investment this has been in the past and admits it, so i can't blame him for being positive about the future, If i thought there was no chance of improvement i would just sell up now

Dan, cheer up mate, you know I'm just pulling your leg, vod has been on a good run lately, most shares had a down day today, hopefully we can get a bit closer to 80p next week

I told you this was a game of snakes and ladders, 73.80 last Friday and 74.72 this week so we are beating the snakes, Maybe some of our expectations are a bit high at the moment, let's see if we can get to 80p for now and then 90p which would put me in profit with my last 50% top up only (ouch) 75p seems a difficult number to get past at the moment, but hopefully we can do it next week, so 76'50 for me please roofer and thanks for your hard work

Ps, please don't call my mate Daniel Grumpy, let's just say he's never been accused of being tactful, and he's quite happy about others giving their opinions as long as they are the same as his own ;-)

UnluckyInvestor9, that's very true it's us that are taking the risk and we have accept that if it doesn't work out, my previous comments were only meant as a joke with a touch of sarcasm thrown in, but we have to be mindful that everyone has paid a different price for this share so expect some different opinions, the good thing is the share price has been making gains lately, for some that will mean a profit and for others just reducing previous losses, let's hope it can continue rising then we can make our own choices

It's not very nice insulting mags and the board of directors all the time, they are working their butts off to make you guys rich you know and don't ask for anything back in return, not to mention what you are doing to Daniels blood pressure

I guess the truth will come out with the November Interim results, we need good results to get this moving, it's up to everyone to decide for themselves on whether they think the results will be good or bad, personally i will be holding with the hope that this can reach 90p, i may regret it of course

If it reaches a new high each Friday that will do me, it's not going to be up every day, and i don't think it;s the CEO or board of directors that are the fools here, they are not the one's losing money ?

Totally agree this a one share in my sipp that I have no concerns about, good dividend with most important no loss of capital, I can't say the same about lgen right now, and it's only a matter of time before this is over a fiver again

Good evening Dan, If investing in the stock market was that easy we could all get very rich, i know I've made plenty of mistakes and no doubt i will keep making them, it's all about trying to get a better return than you can get in a savings account and trying to build up the pension pot as much as possible before reaching the time when you will be taking out instead of putting in, and that time is almost here for myself, some shares are harder to make a profit from than others, if only we knew which ones to buy at the right time
