Eckie8, I agree it has been disappointing lately, if you look at the 3 year chart it's showing a downward slope over the last 3 years period which is disappointing, and there is no guarantee that it will change direction anytime soon, we just hope it will, if you are able to hold on longer though this does seem to reach it's best price around March before April's exdiv, that's when i will make my decision whether to hold sell or increase, but that's just my opinion always do what you feel is right for yourself

Dan, you stole my 80p from me, shame on you, I will go 79p then, US interest rates expected to drop next week maybe it will help to push us up a little bit more, US tech funds have been dropping back lately so glad i still have 45% of my portfolio in UK divi shares to balance things out

I agree, it's not worth selling for a few pennies difference, i will see where we're at after the budget,but so far hold was the best strategy sometimes you win some times you lose, just own up if you get it wrong, it's much more helpful to others if everyone's just honest about things, let's hope we can get back to 2.40 plus before the next exdiv

I will hold my hand up here, it would have been better if I hadn't sold any, thankfully I only sold 1/3 of my holdings, I will reinvest dividend though and add some more back another time

If you really want to sell this share i would have thought the best time would be April before exdiv, for myself i just want to see this back up to 250+ again which would restore my confidence in holding here

I sold a third of mine off at 210 didn't want to lose all the dividend, will buy back if it drops down low enough after exdiv

Hi BarnsleyBitter, yes so far the dividend seems to be safe, this has been a very rewarding income share for myself for many years, however you only have to look at the chart to see how this has been in decline for the last 3 years, i do hope this can change direction soon, like yourself lgen is one of my core shares for providing retirement income along with,phnx/mng/aviv/psn/lloy, I definitely wouldn't put lgen in the same basket case category as Vodafone, however the last 3 year decline in the share price is taking the shine off the dividend , i do hope we will see the share price increase to 250 plus before next Aprils exdiv

It's not a growth stock either is it?, dividends are good but not if it's at the expense of losing capital

Yes it is too low, difficult to know what to do for the best, i'm tempted to sell some off tomorrow, and buy back it it's drops down a lot lower after exdiv

I wonder how many of you guys would want to take out a phone contract with Vodafone once they have merged with Chinese company 3? currently 3 is failing in the UK, I would love to see this get over 80p before the upcoming results on the 12 November 2024, i suppose it all depends on how confident you feel about the upcoming interim results, 50% cut in dividends from November onwards, so a sp rise is needed here now

only my personal opinion of course, if you trust in the management to increase company profits then nothing to be concerned about

Dan, it will get there eventually i think? just don't ask when, at least it's going in the right direction, it;s all a bit of a gamble this stock market stuff you can get a good 5 years or a bad 5 years, hopefully some good ones ahead, good health is the most important thing

Dan, does anyone know if the C.E.O is doing a good job or not? there's only one thing i'm interested in and that's recovering my last top up of 86p when i doubled my number of shares here, personally i think there's a good chance of getting there,

we all know this is a very competitive business, the big question is will it be rewarding for it's share holders in the future or continue to disappoint, i will leave it to yourself and others to form your own opinion on that

let's hope we can get over the 80p hurdle for now
