Hi Soton, yes i bought some today and plan to slowly increase when i get opportunity's, I can't see Voders ever being a good investment as it's such a competitive market, i'm just hoping it will go a bit higher before i dump it, anyway let's hope it's a more prosperous future here

Tichtich, Thank you for taking the time to give your opinion, and i fully understand shares can go down as well as up, so i have just bought a batch of these for now and should it drop down lower at some time below my current price i will add more, i have found this to be the safest way to buy into a new share, so will look forward to the next dividend payment

Hold on there Garonne you don't want to sell this low, don't take any notice of anyone on here they have their own Agendas

I'm thinking of putting a little bit on ukw tomorrow and see how it goes, but not ready to sell any here yet, i will decide before the interim results

just about everything is down today with oil prices increasing due to increasing tensions in the middle east, don't think this will be a good week for most shares

Karv1, I suppose it depends on whether you are looking to sell or not, for myself i don't mind drops in between dividends dates as that can give you an opportunity to lower your average if you wished to do so, providing of course that there's no loss in capital on approach to each exdiv dates, then you will be getting a generous 10% dividend return, not bad in my books as interest rates are dropping, this is the stock market though and as we all know it doesn't always work out as you expect it too, but it would be good if this share could keep on growing

Will be quite happy if this stays down a little longer until dividends have been reinvested, the hopefully we will climb before next exdiv

I have decided to hold for the dividend and should it drop down a lot will top up here again and reinvest dividends, but i often get it all wrong anyway, so don't worry if you have done the opposite

Sorry Dan, but i think you might have miss understood what i was getting at, I don't like Lloyds shares, they recovered after the big market crash, i first bought them around 65p then everything you could think of knocked them down ppi/pandemic etc, until they dropped down to 24p, i kept on averaging down until they ended up 25% of my portfolio and was sitting on a loss for several years also the dividend was stopped for a while, thankful i ended up with a decent profit, i have since sold quite a lot of them off and put the proceeds into funds and other shares, i was just saying the same could happen with Vodafone, i'm fully aware that what's good today may not be good tomorrow,

I'm always hoping something good can happen here

I sold some of my mng shares just before ex dividend thinking i was being clever and would be able to buy more back for a lot less, turned out that it didn't drop much, so regretting it now, I think i will give up on that and just keep holding and accumulating unless something bad happens, but each to his own as always

Gary, Rachel will soon be picking your pockets mate, i wouldn't mind if she was a modern day robin hood taking from the mega rich and giving to the poorer like me, but she has stolen my winter fuel allowance it's going to be a cold winter lol

Thanks, fleccy, i guess it's down to what i was saying before, that what's ok for one may not be for someone else

I have also reinvested dividends over the years but into other shares where i felt i could get the best return rather than into this stock which has been decreasing in value, if it can change direction and start increasing in value then that's a different story

Fleccy, so you are winning with Vodafone because you are losing with Vodafone, i give up mate i'm going to leave it at that, but let's hope Vodafone can make a comeback just like Lloyds have done then we can make a real profit instead of a pretentious one
