Vod v starlink, we all know mobile networks are the technology of the future, but will they be a profitable investment for the share holders as it's such a competitive market, and how long will investors be prepared to wait, i'm expecting a lot of shares to get a boost if inflation and interest rates drop, hopefully Vodafone won't get left behind, house builders psn are already starting to climb in anticipation, let's hope vod can follow with some good news Trading Announcement on the 25th perhaps ?

Well it has dropped back as stevebt said it would. the good thing is its still above £15 so let's hope next week it can make it's way towards £16, can only see this one getting better and it's good to be back in profit here

You are not wrong about that, The usual advice is that time in the market is better than trying to time the market, unfortunately the opposite has applied to this share, the longer you would have been invested here the more money you would have lost, but it's what it does now that matters, i am hoping this can at least break past the 80p in the not too distant future, you most definitely need a lot of patience with this one mate, and i wish i had a £1 for every time posters here said this is under valued over the last 6 years, let's hope this share finally get's a break as our market commentator gutter puts it

If you have received a divi of about 4p twice a year but the share price has fallen by much more then that is not a great return nor is it a safe stck as you say. Also you show a huge ignorance in not knowing your less than 4p twice a year has now ended

Thank you for that it's the only sensible post i have seen on here today, i can't see anyone wanting to buy this for the dividend as it's being cut in half, we are depending on growth from this share now, how much of that it's capable of i don't know, just hoping it can get past 80p at the moment

All of my friends and family have worked all their lives to provide for their family and most importantly for their independence and pride, but obviously there are some who are happy to live off benefits, personally i don't think anyone who is fit and well enough to work should get paid for staying home and sitting on their backside, they should be made to earn those benefits with community work or similar, something that concerns me the most is that immigrants are risking their lives crossing the channel from a safe country(France) why? what are we giving them that France is not? the people of this Country have gone too soft

Sorry about all the thinks, i wish you could edit this thing, I've clearly been doing too much thinking which is dangerous for me, it's very difficult to get excited about this share especially when its below 80p, let's hope it can get there

The strategy does seem to have changed a lot they have cut the dividend for next year and have been reducing debt, also it does seem to have moved away from it's bottom price and trying to make it's way to 80p, how well it will do from here i don't know, the question i keep asking myself is will it grow as much as some of my other investments or will it keep underperforming, still too low a price to think about selling i think i think this one needs a bit more time to see where it's going

Roofer, let's hope those greedy MMs manipulate the price up for us for a change, 80 plus would put us all in a better mood

Hi Soton, yes Lloyds have gone beyond my expectations after being in the doldrums for such a long time, maybe Vod can do the same? that's a very nice thought, i wouldn't want to bet my life on it but anything is possible, let's hope so mate

Tich, the reality is more taxes are needed partly because of all the money the Tories have wasted, it's just a case of who do they take it from

From age, that's just speculation at the moment, at least give them a try to grow the economy and hopefully improve the nhs, time will tell how it works out

Well It was nice to get back in profit here for 5 minutes or so on Friday, we need some interest rate cuts now to get it over the £15 again

We are all hear hoping to make a profit from this share, understandably everyone's a bit disappointed with it at the moment, would be good though if everyone would give their opinions on where they think this is going without insulting each other, let's hope this can make it's way back towards 80p
