RE: Sit on those Hands14 Sep 2022 12:58
I'll tell you where i am in my thinking. Not that my opinion counts any more or less than any other opinions but here it is anyway. I'm an LTH and have approx 50k Shares. I don't come to this board as much as I used, mainly because there is nothing new to see. We have some great scientific researchers here, posting some pretty compelling evidence on why our compounds 'should' make the grade. However, this feels like confirmation bias to me. Trying to convince yourself that you made the right call by holding the shares all these years. I'm not saying to stop with this, it's none of my business and if it genuinely helps you validate your decisions then fill your boots. Same with the huys who like to read and comment on the research posted. If it helps, go for it.
The likes of Utar, Aber, Warty and others are all LTH and they have valid points about the progress and timescales. However, this is where my position comes in.
No one is taking into account the delays we endured from 2019 until the present. back in 2019, my original cash-out time was 2022 based on what the board was telling us in 2018/19. We had several RNS's in 2019 stating we were aiming for clinical trials to start in 2020 and for whatever reason, here we are in 2022 and it's looking like it will be 2023 before the first patient is dosed. If we hadn't had delays we would have been through P1a/b and ready to start P2 and firmly in the buyout phase. Good that we are moving but we are effectively 2 years behind schedule and there is no magic catch-up button we can press. It is what it is. I have come to terms with this delay and have different expectations of when my cash out will be. Realistically, I think we are looking at 2024 before the big deal comes. The only caveat to that is the TYK2 approval news from last week. This might be the last opportunity for a major to buy a potential blockbuster compound on the cheap. If you want to wait for the big deal and are willing to take the risk then sitting on your hands is your only option.
