4D pharma plc was the recipient of a large decrease in short interest in the month of April. As of April 15th, there was short interest totalling 69,200 shares, a decrease of 31.7% from the March 31st total of 101,300 shares. Based on an average trading volume of 394,500 shares, the days-to-cover ratio is presently 0.2 days.

A hedge fund recently bought a new stake in 4D pharma stock. Morgan Stanley bought a new stake in 4D pharma plc during the first quarter, according to its most recent disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The institutional investor bought 21,369 shares of the company’s stock, valued at approximately $253,000. Morgan Stanley owned approximately 0.13% of 4D pharma as of its most recent SEC filing.

Regarding the AGM, there are two key points to note on the AIM:-

1. The Annual General Meeting must be held within a period of six months, from the date of closing of the financial year,” section 96 of the Companies Act says.

2. The company must give a clear 21 days' notice to its members for calling the AGM. The notice should mention the place, the date and day of the meeting, and the hour at which the meeting is scheduled. The notice should also mention the business to be conducted at the AGM.

So, as the financial year runs through to the end of December. This means that the last possible day to hold an AGM would be on Thursday 30th June 22. The last possible date to advise us via RNS of the pending AGM would be on Thursday 9th June 22. So they still have plenty of time yet although i wouldn't expect them to hold it right on the wire but they have that option.

Discussion descended into a farce here later today as some are just clearly bored or working hard to create FUD to support short positions. That's fair enough. We haven't had an update in a few weeks and there is much to hear back about so its kind of expected. Devil makes work for idle hands as they say....

Just a matter of time really, much still going on at 4D. Updates ARE expected at any moment and i have every confidence that Duncan will update us. Lets not loose the focus with FUD posts distracting:-

Confirmation on first patient dosing in P2 for MRx0518 and Bavencio in urothelial carcinoma
Complete enrolment in P1 pancreatic cancer. Would be a bonus if M J Fox foundation can add further support.
Presentation of the Asthma data MRx-4DP004 then commencing the part B
Expecting some sort of update on the talks with Oxford Finance that Duncan mentioned he was in. This was only mentioned by him three weeks ago and we have had the Easter Holidays in that time.

One or all of the above may well drop any moment.

Meanwhile, still of the opinion that a bid will be tabled at any moment. Whilst the SP remains down here at 4D they remain completely vulnerable imo.

Its coming together. Game Changing Life changing stuff. Every trial data set of results has been brilliant and advances made. Yes the SP is a wreck and a total disconnect between the SP and true value. Those short having a field day and We are now back at Aug 20 prices but one good update or fund move and this SP can move materially higher in a flash.

Now is the time to be buying whilst others are fearful. I remain confident here.

We are talking ground breaking LBPs delivering consistent results in a biotech sector with increasing levels of interest. Yes the SP is down today, not many stocks doing well, yes there is a total disconnect between the share price and true value but that will catch up, lets not lose sight of what they are doing here.

I await the next update due any moment. It is unusual not to hear anything for this long but none of us know what talks are going on at the moment. There is a lot in play here for sure.

If its too hot in the kitchen then get out but frankly i remain a buyer at these levels not a seller. Its just a matter of time in my opinion.

I think 4D is using live lactic acid bacteria (LAB) for their vaccine program, which by their nature have a regulatory status as being non-pathogenic. No Dave, I held off buying in Feb due to the constant erosion of the SP until SO Fund had completed as i could see the continued decline in the SP and it going lower which it did. Once i was confident SO fund was out i commenced buying again. In March the 0518 data was released which completely de-risked it for me.

I am 100% bullish on this stock, i consider they are better placed now than they have ever been yet the disconnect between the SP and true value has got wider by the day. See how events unfold.

With respect they delivered the 0518 update in March and that was a total game changer IMO

The results data has de-risked this totally for me. If the science didn't work, different conversation the SP would deserve to be on the floor BUT they are constantly proving solid progress. However there still remains a massive disconnect between the SP now and the true value but it will catch up IMO. We will see anyhow.

I remain bullish and a buyer at these levels. I post here as i have a vested interest in the stock doing well. I consider we could well do a similar SP move as we did in August 20 when the SP went 40p to £1.80 over a three week period, we are better positioned now than when we ever were imo.

However, i do think we are at risk of a low ball bid from Merck and i can seriously see that happening.

Whilst wording of that specific post was off, I believe its just born out of total frustration that when @sang is long he is worse than me for positivity yet when he sells he turns total 360 and turns into a total prize A1 ars@hole - Think this is the issue here.

It would not surprise me if unofficial takeover talks are in progress with Merck and we are now waiting for the official notification.

Annual results were out 1/4 and not a dicky bird since from the company... They are saying nothing, yet three week ago Duncan was in talks with Oxford Finance and they have much to update on.....

I'm not going to repeat the list of positives here... the disconnect between the SP and true value widens by the day. It will catch up and i can wait.

If sang wants to play the Hokey Cokey and try and catch a few more pence off an already beaten down SP with 24/7 de-ramping here be my guest...

Exactly, and as i say a lot can happen between now and the year end.
@Sang is only dedicating so much time to de-ramping because he sold at 37p and wants the SP under that to buy back in to justify his crap decision. Each to their own. He has been doing the Hokey Cokey with 4D shares for over a year.

With respect this is a highly volatile penny share on the AIM index, its not some FTSE 100 stock trading at a few quid a go or a major biotech like GSK, AZN or Merck. Its an R&D Play of the biotech sort that the former would likely move to acquire on continued success. You invest your money and take your chances.

Personally, i believe the upside potential to be stratospheric. The last data results were incredibly impressive in my book and anything that could potentially cure Cancer or Alzheimer's disease or other majors gets a big tick in my book.

I have no concerns regarding funding either, they have a road map and Its fully funded to meet its objectives to the year end and into 2023 with Oxford Finance so not something I'm personally concerned about this year, a lot can happen in that time anyhow.

A lot of the FUD created on this subject is by posters like you trying to support a short position. Each to their own, my own moral compass would prevent me from shorting and trying to damage a business attempting to save lives and make a difference in some of the worst cancer cases. There are other better short targets and this isn't one of them.

Anyhow, see how the week goes, I continue to add and its an investment. We have had a year of depressed values not least due to SOs fund closing and the biotech sector decline in general. From this low point i see it as both a value investment and a major recovery play. Time will tell but one positive update or fund move and the SP could materially move. It happened on SNG 40p to £2.20 in one day. That's how volatile these penny shares are, the same could well happen here yet.

GL in your investment choices but investors here have had a tough 12 months, have some compassion for that and perhaps use your time to do good and promote stocks you do own and want to do well. You will feel better for it. You or family member might one day need a cure for a major disease, you could live to regret trying to damage those biotech's that could ultimately deliver - is that a price worth paying for you in trying to gain a few shekels ?

Beat to it by @soundsrisky but Duncan sounded confident. We are also past that 1/4/22 milestone date so I think every chance of an update from Duncan regarding Oxford Finance not to mention other matters fairly soon. At least with everyone returning back this week volumes should hopefully start picking back up.
