RE: Critical next two months but, v. likely, already at a good place15 May 2022 06:54
Some great points, it just really highlights the compelling argument for Merck to absorb into their R&D division if only to help support and advance Keytruda. With the SP on the floor this really has now become a petty cash transaction.
Frankly, I don't see Financing being as urgent as those that are short make out. Firstly they confirmed funding into Q4 ie October/November/December this year and secondly Duncan confirmed he was in talks with Oxford finance which could take us into 2023.
So even failing anymore debt drawdown finance from Oxford, no payments for milestones, no early licensing deals and nothing whatsoever on the table they don't need to do anything until October this year. That's circa 5 months away OR 10 months away should they extend Oxford finance terms into 2023. So this isn't at some major desperation point yet is it, by a long chalk they have plenty of time.
Anyhow, they filed an option to raise on the NASDAQ if they need to later this year, so they still have that option later if they need to but i just don't see it. I genuinely think this is going into Merck, we are not hearing anything because a deal is being worked out and will be voted on at the AGM, that's my call - watch this space.
IMO the Major news will drop here anytime between now and 9th June absolute latest to fit the time lines, more likely before the end of this month. Just remember Duncan is a fairly shrewd guy, he has dedicated his life to this business not to mention one million of his own money so he has skin in the game. He is no idiot.
Looking forward to how events unfold
