There will always be exceptions to the rules but having worked in Finance for many years I have to say that most of the jobs were pretty pointless, usually one level of management producing reports for another level of management that very rarely added any value to the business.
I'm also surprised there are payroll managers in this day and age, I ran a manufacturing company several years ago with over 2,000 employees and all the payroll was automated.

People have been saying this is over valued since I first bought at just over a pound, I'm glad I ignored them all.

Sam, Obviously not peaked, perhaps you should go back to gambling on AIM and leave OCDO to the serious investors.

I do wonder what people working from home actually do. Certainly not producing anything. I lot of them I suspect are pointless managerial jobs.

Unfortunately even the charity system doesn't really work. I have leukaemia and contribute a lot to these charities. The problem is there are 69 charities alone for leukaemia just in the UK, each with a board of highly paid directors and spending lots on marketing, audits etc. and probably replicating a lot of research. As a retired FD I offered my services for free but was told they have no vacancies !
The whole charity process would be much more efficient if it was centralised world-wide.

I would advise caution on day trading this or any other share, the vast majority of day traders lose money.

I must admit I haven't shorted in the past but given the shock of the recent crash I thought it might be wise to have some sort of hedge. I might be being too clever for my own good!
My first attempt at shorting was Costain and this more or less doubled in price a couple of days and I got closed out .
99% of my positions are long so I will not be too upset if this short fails because it will probably mean that the market has risen and the benefits from my longs will far offset the costs of my shorts.

LOOT, you could be right, every investment is a risk. There are a few other red flags, a big pension deficit and a forecast reduction in EBIT amongst them.
Debt may not have been an issue in the past but maybe in the current climate.
You say the downside is limited but ultimately any share price can go to zero, you only have to look at the likes of CLLN, TCG, DEB etc.
I must admit, I'm new to shorting so I'm treading cautiously at the moment with a maximum liability of £1k. I plan to hold the short for 2 months.

Not for me, price 45% below it's recent high + high debt and forecast reductions in sales and profits.

Thanks G, it seems odd that the last time I bought it at £3.50 I viewed it as quite high risk, it now seems more like a defensive play.

I have taken out a small short here at 175.38 based on negative momentum. It looks a very risky business.

I've taken out a small short out here at 95.75p. Negative share price momentum and high debt are the main reasons. I have a terrible record at shorting, we will see.

I've had a small investment here. I notice it was an investors chronicle tip in April.

I have had these for a year now and the positive momentum has petered out so time to cut my losses (34%) and invest elsewhere (OCDO).

I have bought in here based on positive momentum and the higher than average dividend.
