I've bought back in, it's risen to number 2 on my momentum chart (after POG).
It has seemed strange not being invested, it has been one of my best investments in the past.

POG is still number 1 on my momentum tracker, by far my best investment at the moment.

Thanks QUIGGERS. All long positions which I hold for at least a year. I believe most day traders lose money, to cover transaction costs you would probably need to make annualised returns of 100% +. It also looks like hard work !
I make profits on about 60% of my investments. PMO is one of the losing 40%, bought at £1 back in January.

Perhaps you should go in to politics if you are so bitter rather than ranting on a BB where I don't think anybody really pays much attention to you.

Yes, 10% per annum average, so over 10 years that would be 100%. According to the list there are 159 mangers that have achieved an average of 10% per annum.

Also, the vast majority of fund managers underperform the market so you would be better with a tracker fund than a managed fund.

I do tend to do well but I am a qualified accountant with qualifications in economics and mathematics and I was FD of a FTSE company. I have may years investing experience so I am at a comparative advantage to most investors.

I would agree with you that the government has made a mess of all this, concentrating on Covid-19 and ignoring other illnesses has probably resulted in more deaths overall.
I'm not one for conspiracy theories, I'm afraid incompetency is probably the issue here.

I have made n investment here based on a number of factors including export growth, turnover growth and a reasonable PE. I used to work in finance for one of the competitors and we had an independent review of all UK competition and Cranswick came out tops on just about every metric we looked at.

The IC sell investments tend to be very successful (Costain being a notable exception).

Personally I hold my shares for at least a year. The vast majority of short term traders lose money.

SK, I have a mortgage that I pay 2% on but I make, on average, 10% on my investments. So why would I pay off my mortgage ?

MFLAH, all I can see is you losing money. I make my living from investing and I am always open to good advice so if you ever offer any I will accept it.

I don't understand your fascination with EZJ, is this the only share you invest in ?

You bought some puts at £5 a couple of weeks ago. I must admit I don't understand how puts work, have you made money on this £5 put?

Can you summarise quickly what it says, it goes on for over an hour.

MFLAH, you bought EZJ on the 12th March when they were £8+ and then sold them on the 31st March when they were closer to £5.

You then took a short out on the 6th April at £5, they are now close to £6.

So probably best not to follow your advice, you appear clueless.

Don't have anything in particular I want to spend any profits on, I've had my time with fast cars and exotic holidays. Any excess profits these days I tend to give to charity.

You may be right but it is difficult to time the market.

I am invested in GGP and have done very well with it. But it is AIM and very high risk. It has risen a lot already so possibly more potential downside than upside. I certainly wouldn't invest based on a random quote on an unrelated BB.

I also have a small stake in GGP but to me,like all AIM, it is a gamble rather than an investment. I'm up 60% in 2 weeks so can't grumble.

I have twice had dealings with Capita and the service they provided was rubbish. I took the services back in house and they were then much better and much cheaper. Outsourcing is good in theory but very rarely works.
