I'm surprised at the negativity, it is up 34% over the last 12 months.

Night watch, I agree I am well down in PMO (57%) and EZJ(37%), although the losses I have on these are not as large as those on CPI (72%).
Fortunately the losses on these are all covered by the profits I have made on POG (190%).
I accept that I will make losses on some shares but if these are offset by gains on others then I am happy.
I do find some of the comments on here quite ludicrous such as "it will cross 50 tomorrow easily". And the classic "it was the seller holding us back". Clueless.

The share price may well increase but it is still high risk with a lot of negatives.
Recovery stocks tend to perform poorly on average.
It is still down over 50% over the last 12 months and this is often a sign that it will continue to under perform.

Totally agree with you Broomhill, this board is like the mad hatter's tea party. With a few exceptions, the contributors range from the deluded to the insane.
Very occasionally amusing but anybody who uses it to make decisions would probably be better leaving their money in a bank.
I'd be surprised if many people make profits out of PMO.

I don't agree with ODEY with IGG although to be fair to them they have been successful in the past.
I am invested here on the basis of positive momentum and will hold for 12 months.
I have dabbled with shorts myself but made a complete mess of it , albeit in rising markets.

I'd rather sell at a 10% loss than hold on to a share for ever hoping that it will recover. Hallmark of a poor investor.
I take it you make money on everything you invest in and never sell at a loss?

Basic economics would argue that the more money a government pours in to an economy then, everything else being equal, this ultimately ends up increasing private companies profitability. So I am positive about the performance of shares going forward.

The only shares you have posted on in the last year are EZJ, PREM and PURP, you haven't covered yourself in glory with any of those.

I am not trapped anywhere thank you, I can sell whenever I wish. I often sell at a loss, so long as I win more than I lose I'll make money.

I have made good money on EZJ, if that makes me an idiot then what are you?

Thanks for the advice David but I've managed to make 200% profit on POG following my own methods so I don't think I'll pay much attention to Monmouth cups and all that other nonsense.

I think you need to crawl back into a hole. Apart from the negative comments on EZJ the only other share you have commented on is PREM. At 18.5p you advised "this will continue to rise, definitely undervalued, fill your boots". I hope nobody followed your advise, it is now 10p. You have no credibility I am afraid.

TCF, you always seem to be making profits, you never seem to make a loss, you must be a genius. Most day traders lose money but you seem to make on every trade even though you were not invested when the price went up 100%. You always seem to short at exactly the right time. It's a pity that you never seem to state in advance that you are making a trade, then we could all make money with you.

MB, you stated that he sold based on information he had that was not publicly available. This is insider trading. If you are now saying that he sold purely because he needed the money then that is fine, you and your mate would not be guilty and can sleep easily.

MB, insider trading is trading to one's advantage through having access to confidential information. It is illegal.

I normally sell my investments after a year but this has risen to the top of my momentum list so I will be holding for another year. I'm still down but hopefully the momentum will continue and their will be none of the scandals that impacted us last year.

Yes, it now has one of the lowest betas in the FTSE, ranked 14 out of 600. Generally a low beta indicates a low risk but low return share.

Sounds like you and your mate are doing some insider trading, which is illegal. Someone did it in the company I worked in and ended up in prison.
