DIRECTIVE, apologies, I wasn't referring to you as the "usual crew".
I based my investment on positive momentum. It rose for 6 months in a row, that was the fact that I based my investment on. Unfortunately momentum doesn't anticipate crap trading updates.
I called this one wrong but if I get more right than I get wrong I'll be ok.

To be fair to the ferret he did say he was closing his short and going long. He's got it wrong in the past but today was a good call.

MIDAS, not quite sure why you are on here. I suspect you're name is ironic looking at some of your past investments, GFM "buy some more now at 112p" (now 43p), SXX "down big time" and YU "I am down 40%".

I also live in Sheffield and I have heard nothing about Sheffield going in to a local lockdown.
People on here seem to want the pandemic to get worse so they can benefit financially. This is a share for gamblers, not investors.

MIDAS, why would you expect to make a "tenbagger" with a FTSE100 company. If you'd bought 8 years ago you would have had a "40bagger".
I am more than happy to make a 10% return each year with a well diversified portfolio, to expect to make 500% is delusional.
I suggest you go to AIM and pick some of the gems on there like UKOG, you might hit lucky but I doubt it.

Usual crew out today with throwaway comments not based on facts, I dread to think how much money these guys lose when they can't even carry out basic research.
Thanks Midland Boy for pointing out that CPI fell before Covid, I've lost count of the number of posters who blame all CPIs woes on Covid.
CPI has a history of making a mess of things, perhaps this time will be different but I have my doubts.

MNAZIR90, you prove my point, PMO down 90% whilst the market was down 30%. It is a risky share, if you can predict the highs and lows then great but you're a better man than I am.

I wouldn't take any notice of Agent777, he's made some comments on other shares I am invested in that don't make any sense. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he's just naïve.

Ummm, an increase of 250% since the end of March and then lost 35% of that gain in 13 days, not the most stable of shares. Potential for big gains but also risk of big losses, I would class that as a gamble.

FORZEB, it's always risky to invest in one company / sector, especially one as volatile as PMO. PMO has the highest beta out of the 600 or so companies in the FTSE. These types of shares are very rarely a good investment. It is a gambler's share and most on here seem to act like gamblers.

The dividend may have doubled but from a low base. At 1.7% it is well below the FTSE100 average so not really an income stock.
I bought this based on momentum but this appears to have reversed, down over 20% in the last couple of months.

Yep, good luck everybody for the future, this has been one of the better BBs to be on.

I have no regrets at selling, I make a decision and then move on. You could look at any share and say "why didn't I buy that one?". I have no idea whether this or any other share will go up, all I know is that on average I make a good return, I don't really worry about daily or weekly movements and I don't get attached to any one share.

I am but bought in at £1.40 a few months ago so damage limitation for me.

Bought in here based on good positive momentum.
Plenty of positives including forecast profit growth and a good yield.

I hope so, I have bought back in here based on positive momentum. Hope I am more successful than my previous forays in HOC, I've invested 4 times before and lost money each time.
Not a good start, bought at £1.99 at 3pm and already down 3.4% in just over an hour !
Oh well, I hold for 12 months so plenty of time to recover.

Share price is higher than it was a year ago so I'd hardly call it a recovery play.
