Looking at the WMH share price over the last few years I don't think I agree with that maxim. I've actually made nice profits on the GN.
As for LSE, this has been one of my best performing shares over the last 12 months, up 30%.
However momentum does eventually run out so I will be selling at the end of this month.

With logic like that I assume the name you use is ironic.

You contradict yourself.
You state annualised return of 4.73% v inflation of 2.27% but then state it is down in real terms. It is not.

My first house was a little terrace in a poor area. I didn't have a car, expensive mobile phone etc. Most young people these days wouldn't look at such a property. Generally, they are better off than my generation.

I am amazed at the amount of deluded people on here who keep claiming what a great investment this is. It is a dog of a company with a terrible track record and an inept management. One of my worst investments ever, time to cut my losses and move on.

Too true, I really don't have the time or energy to understand the details behind a company but just following positive momentum has generated me good returns for many years. Holding a share for a year has been the optimum period for me, momentum does eventually change direction.

Yes, I really don't understand why the likes of Neil get so upset about the phenomenal success of OCDO, perhaps they are bitter because they have missed out.

NOEL. I don't follow anybody's advice on these BBs, I have my own system that is based on momentum and works very well for me. I hold my shares for 12 months and take no notice of short term fluctuations.
I have no issue with you but I didn't understand why you only sold some of your shares. You state "the price went down as I though it would". So why didn't you sell all your shares?

NOEL, if I remember you sold some and then bought some because you thought you had made a mistake. It sounds like you are a bit of a ditherer without a clear strategy. You could claim to have made the right decision whether the price went up or down.
