I agree it will have an impact - key question is how much. 25% already off the share price and as summer in Northern hemisphere arrives, the spread of Covid will reduce (as is the case with Flu). Therefore how much more is to be taken off - I think at 25% drop we are probably about right - IMHO. Not sure how many LTH will sell now - solid growing cvompany - i am 9 years in and an average ROI for me of over 80% per year in that time. No plans to sell, might buy on dips.

The video does not state any production and scaling info other than the back end of 2021. In fact he implies that he believes that the CV19 virus will be long gone soon and implies we will be ready for more serious ID challenges with his technology. The rns says we are scaling up to produce but where is your 1000's produced already?
I think this is a good share with upside to come but not sure it will be as explosive as you infer.
However i hope you are right and I am wrong.

I saw the RNS - its the scale that is key isnt it - are they producing 1 diagnostic box a week, a day, an hour? That is the key question. Demand would be phenomenal, its all down to the production and commissioning speed - i wonder how difficult that is to scale.

The technology looks fantastic but....
This isnt a self contained swab process - whilst they are looking to accelerate production, they were looking at end of next year for production so not sure whether they are ready to react. 40 patents and ability to test many diseases - seems a no brainer for each a&e. Also - why not put one on each plane and test in the air - then know in advance what pathogens are heading into a geography.

My local large Sainsbury store has a Mcdonalds outlet in the store. Its a way for Asda to reduce retail premises charges by subletting and hopefully getting complimentary footfall as you buy a steak bake but also then buy some groceries whilst you are there. For greggs - they get venues with great parking and the same advantage as hungry shoppers get a quick snack.

In terms of the financial impact - I think the discount is nearing the bottom - and that scenario for me is one where there is significant numbers of workers staying home and reducing their travel and associated spend. I sold a couple of shares earlier this week as i felt they had a lot of debt and might not survive a prolonged disruption. Other than that sitting tight but with new money ready to enter market on the bounce. The buying opportunity is significant but will rise v quickly when it goes - there are a lot of real money people getting their funds ready to grab those bargains so when it goes back up i think it will be incredibly quick. As such, I am considering an early purchase on the basis of some great companies at a 20%+ discount to what i had paid last week and I might not be able to get the uplift - also thinking of buying into managed funds and letting the managers take the buy hassle for me and then getting the bounce that way.
Feels a bit tawdry discussing financial advantages now, but that is what these boards are for....

true - but at 5.17am in NYC only the most Gecko of traders are up and on their peloton bikes looking at the days runners . Money never sleeps, but traders do....

BATM - RNS today that they have added Coronovirus test to their other diagnostic tools - they are also based in Italy and therefore price spiking on the news - good company underneath the spike and may get a big bounce here. GLA

With 14% rise on the board against a sea of red, if we cant get noticed today, there is never going to be a time. Unless the rise is very very dramatic I am holding for the long term - irrespective of the market, the fact they have the kit alongside their already in place testing kit should do them the world of good in the reputation of their customer group - all to the good. GLA

I suppose we will never get confirmation. Good news in terms of vaccine production though - 1 on first stage trial in US. Unless this is a rare hybrid that adds stability it looks like we will enter a world where as well as the flu vaccine (which we in the Northern hemisphere develop looking at the Southern hemisphere mutations and guess the likely next issues) we will have to do the same as the Coronovirus virus morphs, mutates and changes each year.
I think its fair to say that after the Italy outbreak it will hit all population centres - the advice to isolate for 2 weeks only if already ill if been to Northern Italy alps - for a virus with a 4 week incubation is bizzare and i think is a realistic acceptance by PHEngland that it is coming and there is little we can do.
Lets hope there isnt any ramping up of panic in the meantime.

A little worried about this share - with the level of debt we have, any further reduction plays into the hands of the debtholders who may end up taking our company. Especially likely to happen if there is a possibility of then selling assets straight on - anyone heard lately from Adonis Pourolis? He put all the investment into the mines - could buy it back on the chgeap from the debt holders?

Very interesting. I had heard the Institute of Virology rumour before. Lets hope that it is synthetic and can be made extinct - otherwise we have a new flu jab coming at best and years of trouble if not. I sincerely hope that the western world is putting real pressure on China to share if it is synthetic - if so this could speed up the development of a vaccine - however I believe that the Chinese would rather a pandemic strike for the next 10 years than admit any complicity in relation to this.

Lol - I have my own other roller coasters - FXPO, JLP, TSLA and GENL - TSLA now flatters me but I just liked the technology (sliced as i think it is now overbought) and GENL....
... well if it is a rollercoaster its been sitting in the station waiting for passengers for a few years !!
PS - I love JLP - I cant see how it wont double this year unless there is a real disaster imho
Anyhow - all these backed by some real dullard divi shares aswell - PHNX, LLOY, AAPL, PPH, FLTR etc.
I like the ride but I also like to get off and still be solvent :)

I dont normally add words of caution to board but I am doing so as I enjoy your b*lls out enthusiasm for this share and it has entertained me over the last few months. The share price is down as we are skating on thin ice as we await the upturn in diamond market - debt growing despite the one-off diamond and no new big finds to prop up cash. If you add weight to your position please make sure you dont go overboard if this does go pop - it is really in that zone where it could go either way. Hope you dont mind and keep up the positivity, but just wanted to throw in a note of caution as you look to add to your position.

Thanks for posting about the CEO presentation - sounds very positive. Was there any discussion or questions around the capital move away from carbon heavy companies? I do wonder if this is part of the reason for the lack of uptake in the OPG share price.

I agree a good update and hopefully someone in the market may see this and gain us a little traction. I intend to hold a little longer also as the return is occuring and hopefully will come to fruition. Only point of cation would be around factoring in increased margin as a result of lower coal prices - we signed a forward order on coal purchases a while ago and i think it was until May. Hopefully some keen manager in OPG negotiating a new lower agreement to start prior to the last one closing out - but otherwise expect similar margin for the moment.

I agree electric is the future and I do like the burning platform the announcement puts us upon. However there are a lot of issues to get through and I am not sure 15 years will be enough. We are a country that has had a third runway not being built for 30 years - but we will change our regs for driverless cars in 15? I agree and look forward to driverless cars but I have changed my view in the last couple of years as to the pace of change - driverless will produce incredible benefits to living in cities - in leafy SW London the average car is static for 98% of the time clogging up streets where it is parked.
As an aside if we reduce car production by 95% as we all take up an Uber or Tesla subscription - thats a pretty big impact to industrial production.
