If you look at the question I asked, which was about the main competitors, the question was answered and passed on. There are undoutably other competitors around, with the list changing periodically as other companies enter the market, or existing companies change their product offer.

That will always happen, in every environment. That is how business works.

No doubt there are bigger companies than CyanConnode, in the smart grid/smart meter/IoT arena, who view CyanConnode as a competitor. Every company has competitors, no matter how big or small they are.

That is what happens in life in general.

I hope you all had a good Easter.

I asked at an AGM/EGM/Presentation meeting some time ago, who were CyanConnodes main competitors and was told Trilliant and SilverSpring. Which I have previously passed on to the bb.

How unthinkable is that, that CyanConnode have competitors that are confirmed by the Company.

I also cannot be bothered to go over old stuff, but sometimes that is exactly what we do.

That is exactly right CB,

I had hoped we would arrive here at sometime. It is Omnimesh sat alongside cell. But what we do not know, is if there is a difference in specification, to the IPv6 Omnimesh solution. If there is no difference, why call it " Hybrid."

But what we do know, as far as the India thread is concerned, is it is classed as a new order, for a Hybrid RF Smart Mesh and Cellular communications network.

What we do not know, but may find out eventually, is who the new Partner is and which is the Indian state-owned utility, who is a new end-customer.

And we do not know the telecommunications network, which may have signed up for this initial collaboration.

But we do know, is it is not EESL, initially. Because they are a Procurement Agency. As I commented previously, who should purchase what the utilities want to buy and the meter manufacturers want to install, with confidence.

I cannot access the " slide show " for whatever reason. But I have viewed the second " WAN, NAN, HAN " slide.

While the original Syrma Technology video, provided by CyanConnode, as I have said, provides some information on the manufacture of the CyanConnode IPv6 solutions, in India. I would think that CyanConnode would need to set up a dedicated manufacturing line, for a dedicated Hybrid Smart Mesh and Cellular solution. That maybe within the Syrma Technology site shown, or it may be elsewhere within the Syrma brand. I do not know.

There may be technical differences, between a standard CyanConnode IPv6 solution and a Hybrid Smart Mesh and Cellular solution, that need to be taken into consideration, during manufacture. I would think that somewhere along the line, that there is.

But the additional information on Syrma, that you kindly posted, I think provides more evidence of what kind of Company, Syrma Technology are.

I believe Syrma are an American company, or have connections to America?

The " New " is a new order, for a product not distriuted outside the UK, as far as we we know, up until now.

I made reference to this point on April 3rd, 2019, when CyanConnode announced the RNS order:-

" So, CyanConnode, have been developing a Hybrid RF Smart Mesh and Cellular communications solution. I notice they did not say " new."

" It could be the Telefonica/Toshiba/CyanConnode connection/experience, is now being deployed in India and may open up other global opportunities in other markets."

And we are fully aware, that you are " ..... not fussed ........ " about CyanConnode. You have made that and continue to make that, very clear.

Just out of interest, how did you both determin that a video of CyanConnodes IPv6 solutions, being manufactured by Syrma Technology, concerning the licensing order for Beijing Instruments, has anything to do with the Hybrid RF Smart Mesh and Cellular communications network solution, ordered on 3rd April, 2019?

It does not mention anything in the text of the Newsletter, published in February 2019, or the RNS published in December 2018, about a Hybrid solution, that I can see.

............ Vas, there seems to be little media information on the EESL projects. Especially on the progress of some of the larger, tendered projects.

Some of the lower volume tenders, seem to be progressing. It is the larger, volume tender projects, not neccessarily " smart tenders," where there seems be a problem.

Have a read of this report, from Genus Power. Pages 8 and 9 give an overall view of what seems to be is happening to some of the EESL projects.

There is also some information on:-

- The size of their order-book - Page 2.

- Order implementation - Page 3.

- Chinese competition - Pages 6 and 10.

- Genus market share with HPL, L&T and L&G - Page 13.

- Indication and opinion of " smart meter " adoption, which, as we know, is in its early stages - Page 14.

It may answer some of your questions as to " ...... it does make you wonder about the EESL projects and how they will pan out."

To our knowledge, EESL may not be involved/connected with this order. But we do not know for sure. What we do know, is the CyanConnode Omnimesh solution provided, will support the " ..... deployment of 3,000 smart meters, will use a Hybrid RF Smart Mesh and Cellular communications network."

And the Omnimesh solution, is BIS IS15959 and IS16444 certified.

As we know and have discussed before, EESL are a Procurement Agency. So they should buy, what the utilities want to purchase and the meter manufacturers have confidence in.

So, interesting times ahead, I feel, also.

I do not think there has been a reference to the number of " Not-Spots," that are possible in India. Possibly because they have not been recognised until recently, as such.

But if you start with the overall opportunity in India - 250m meters - and divide that by 10%, 20%,30%, or whatever, you can come to a figure on a pro-rata basis, to the information we have on the UK.

Whether it will work the same, in India or in other areas/regions, is yet to be proved.

But the order received on 3rd April, 2019, concerning " ..... a Hybrid RF Smart Mesh and Cellular communications network ....... " may be CyanConnodes contribution to solving that particular problem. Both in India and other global regions.

You have been busy.

I remember, as probably you do too, when Cyan ( as it was ) first went into India, ZigBee was the solution that all/most governments stipulated as the norm, at the time.

Now CyanConnode maybe / are working alondside ZigBee, for the UK smart meter programme.

Confirmation that CyanConnode could reach break-even, during the 2019 trading year, would be progress.

It could also indicate that progress is being made with customer accounts, in line with the January 2019, Trading Update. As well as with the new orders recieved during the first quarter of 2019.

Which all in all, is not a bad thing.
