Good morning all,

As you have indicated CB, on more than one occasion during the year, that a Placing was expected, but has not yet materialized, you eventually ended up with a date of July 1st, as a forecast date, for when the Placing would happen. We are now back to a " ...... September October time .... " timeline, which you have mentioned before.

Does this mean that CyanConnode are trading better than when you suggested the July 1st date?

But we may get some relevant news, prior to your September October timeline, that may change your forecast, yet again?

CyanConnode have recognised in the past, that they have competiton and have confirmed who they feel their main competitors are. There maybe/are others.

We know that EESL has the responsibilty, as we understand it, to over-see the majority of the India smart meter roll-out, but although they do not seem to be a follower/promoter of RF, at the moment, I think it would be wrong to assume, in my opinion, that EESL will not eventually award RF projects, in the future.

Especially with the information contained in the last two ( January 2019 & May 2019 ) Genus Power Conference Call reports, with information on ongoing/cancelled smart meter projects.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I had to go out this morning.

As you say, " Good to see some Blue ..... " But personally, I do not think the downward spiral, was anything to do with the L&G situation. Over the last couple of weeks, as the price has gone lower, there were some share trades at around the 100,000 mark. I think if it was L&G selling, they would be selling more than GBP5,000 worth of shares at a time. But that is only my opinion.

There have been some reasonable value and volume amounts of shares, bought over the last few days, since the AGM. Which is suprizing, but welcome, being as there has been no news released.

But it will depend on whether the share price holds, as to whether the recent investors are in for 10% - 20%, or whether they are in for a longer period. But that is again, only my opinion.

....... topical information in the latest Genus Power Conference Call, from May 16th, 2019, concerning execution of contracts and cancellation of certain contracts, related to the electric meter/smart meter program, in India.

From the report:-

Question:- " And what could be the quantum of EESL tender? I know you highlighted that there is a little uncertain, but still."

Answer:- " They came out with the tender of 5 million pieces recently and they have opened the prices also. They have scrapped their previous tenders. So right now, I am not looking at those tenders. I do not know how serious that is going to happen. So, there is no point talking those very large numbers and then confusing ourselves. They have already dropped 2 tenders. So, it is very difficult to say whether they will execute their forth tender, which is already open."

Question:- " Sir, is there any change in the kind of pricing which we are seeing, because last 6 months ago, we saw the sharp fall in the pricing, in the tenders, because of the Chinese guys. Now where we are settle now?"

Answer:- " Yes, the sharp fall was there only in EESL tenders and that tender has been scrapped. So, as such I am not seeing any fall in prices, rather prices improving across the country, rather they are getting consolidated. But those particular tenders what you are talking about, they all been scrapped, sharp fall in prices no more the case."

So, no clarity on the, as yet not cancelled contracts you were refering to. And whatever questions are asked, according to you, after continually asking for questions to be asked, are " staged."

Although questions have always been asked, but you have never agreed with the answers.

They say, if you want a job doing properly, you should do it yourself. So my first question to you is, " Where were you?

The second question is, can you give some clarity on which contracts you are refering too and what dates they were cancelled, please.

I know you do not like " spoon feeding," but indulge me.

1) With the purchase of L&T ( Electrical & Automation ) by Schneider Electric and the fact that CyanConnode have received further orders from L&T, since their aquisition by Schneider Electric, can you indicate how the relationship may develop in the future?

Answer - The relationship continues with L&T in India and CyanConnode are look to develop further international opportunities with Schneider Electric, in the future.

2) Renewable energy is a large part of many countries energy strategy, in one form or another. Can you say how adaptable the CyanConnode solution is, to say Solar Power, as I understand that the IPv4 solution was adaptable, but at the time, there were not the Solar Power contracts available, to make it a viable market. So is it the same for the Omnimesh/IPv6 solution?

Answer - IPv6 is the next Generation and can integrate into meters for Solar Power and other Green Energy. There may be additional engineering work required, depending on specific product requirements.

3) With the development of the Hybrid solution, can you indicate as to whether CyanConnode will be, at some stage, in discussions with telecommunications companies, initially in India, but hopefully in global markets, as well as meter manufacturers and utilities?

Answer - We will continue to sell through Meter Manufacturers, System Integrators and Mobile Operators, to the Utilities.

4) We hear a lot about " Blockchain." Can you say if CyanConnode would be interested in this concept?

Answer - At the present time, it isn't something we are pursuing.

5) HM Power - District Heating/Heating Meters - is the market for this solution only in the Nordic regions, at the moment, or can you see additional markets opportunities, in other regions?

Answer - Other markets in Europe, even the UK, are looking at this type of offering.

Good morning TillyTish and all,

Individual posters, will see CyanConnode in different ways. Some will take positives from the recent developments, including Omnimesh, the Hybrid solution and the recent Chinese licencing aggreement, which I see as positive advances/developments, within the Company.

Others will look back on past performances, through the development stage of the CyanConnode, which was a long and protracted stage of Companies development, I agree on that.

But when you are continually looking back, you should be careful that you do not trip over something that you have missed, by not looking where you are going.

I tend to look forward in life, but learn from the past. And not think that whatever has happened in the past, will not change in the future.

I appreciated your " ...... bucket ...... " analogy. A good way of looking at it. In my opinion, of course.

I am looking forward to see how the next few month's develops.

I think CyanConnode have shown more than a degree of confidence, in going down this route and BI in particular has given CyanConnode, the implementation opportunity, to integrate this asymmetric cryptography key system, that is making these kind of projects possible.

John Cronin has been intimating about " Licencing Agreements " and " White Labels " for some time, without really giving any details, probably quite rightly, on what the working mechanisms involved, until it was finalized.

The Beijing Instruments contract, has given the CyanConnode the opportunity to do that.

I think the way that CyanConnode have set this up initially and hopefully into the future, is to retain the ability to monitor and charge for, each asymmetric key/group of keys provided/issued regionally, for whoever manufactures and installs them.

Where-ever that might be, globally.

That really is " .... the jewel in the crown..... "

Vas, I agree with Imperial, that CyanConnode may/will be eventually sold off. But I hope, not yet.

Getting back to your point Vas, about CyanConnode India Pvt Ltd, being sold off seperately. Personally, I do not think you can totally break the link.

I look on the Indian subsidiary, as a " local " part of the CyanConnode Group, that primarily looks after customers and sales, for India. Whether additional " local " parts will be formed, we will have to wait and see. But I am sure there may be opportunities, in the future.

As I understand it, an asymetric key(s) are required to activate the CyanConnode solutions that they sell, and these asymetric keys are held and monitored, as I understand it, from Cambridge.

As with all solutions sold by CyanConnode at the moment, in India, for BI in China and in the Nordic regions, the asymetric keys are held in a separate location.

Without the digital signatures that are produced through/by the asymetric key(s), the CyanConnode solutions will not work. So I personally cannot see CyanConnode releasing the codes/keys, unless they are part of an overall takeover.

The Beijing Instruments Newsletter probably explains the process better, concerning a " .... unique handshake ..... "

Personally, I think it is a regulation/registration, that may be for foreign companies who trade in India. Schneider Electric, Intel and Accenture, are just 3, non-Indian companies, who trade in India, that are Indian registered " Pvt."

Thanks Vas, for the information on the Smart Infrastructure Panel. It is appreciated. And good to see that CyanConnode are keeping good company.

There are indeed, as you have both indicated, some influencial companies represented within this Group, that we hope will shape the Smart Grid/Smart City future, for years to come.

CyanConnode are on another smaller list of empanelled companies, for the Rural Electrification Corporation ( REC ) and have been for some time, which I have posted before. But this new venture, definitely seems a step in the right direction, with a broader scope/reach.
