Did they give any particular reason? Again. Is it a general delay or regional, do you know? Or as we discussed last week, from a post from 2cv, they seem to be reluctant to fit SMETS1 meters which they still have, from April 2019 I think, because the SMETS1 meters installed after that date, do not count towards the meter manufacturers/installers SMETS2 installation figures. And they will get penalised when/if they do not reach the SMETS2 targets.

No doubt we will pick up the news-feed tomorrow.

As you have indicated, there has been a lot of speculation recently and there is hopefully some significant contractural announcements on the way. Which will be very welcome, when it happens. And I feel confident that it will.

The Hybrid unit/product, along with the heat meters ( District Heating ) will be an interesting development in the Nordic regions.

But the Hybrid solution order, received from an Indian utility, " ....... using a hybrid RF Mesh and Cellular network ...... " could/should open up some new opportunities for CyanConnode. Globally. As you have indicated, we await the " evaluation."

I think you are correct in your belief that the increase in the share-price over the last week, is down to private investor confidence. If there was a " leak," it is a very good one. By it's very nature, a " leak " means there is something tangible to write about. But there has been nothing in the press that could have prompted this, that I have seen, with a direct link to CyanConnode.

But it is appreciated, while it lasts.

I believe I have seen something similar before and cannot understand their approach to the problem they say they have. From the report that you posted:-

" Simplicity Energy said it was waiting for the first generation meters to have an upgrade, rather than install a newer version, which it belives will happen shortly. The firm said " our strategy is to complete our roll-out programme and run down stocks of SMETS 1 meters to avoid them becoming landfill."

It then goes on to say " Any first generation meters installed after March 15th, 2019, do not count towards the companies smart meter roll-out obligations and the regulator OFGEM could take enforcement action against any company, not meeting their obligations."

So they are installing SMETS 1 meters to avoid them going into land-fill. And then to stop OFGEM taking enforcement action against them because the SMETS 1 meters do not count towards their SMETS 2 obligations, do they take the SMETS 1 meters out and install SMETS 2 meters to meet their obligations? And then presumably send the SMETS 1 meters to land-fill?

There must be an easier way.

As contained within the CyanConnode Interim Results 2019 - page 14:

- Roll-out meters commenced in Q4 2018. To date 1.8m SMET2 meters have been installed.
- Assumption that 10% of SMET2 meters under the Telefonica " not-spot " projected to deliver £25.7 million of revenues over a 15-year period.
- First 500,000 pre-paid licences have been activated, these were purchased from Connode, prior to its aquisition. Some revenues already taken in previous years.
- CyanConnode does not expect material revenue from this contract during 2019.
- £2m revenue taken from this contact to date.
- Revenues from rollout expected to grow from 2020.

Now, your turn. Did you ever get a reply from DCC on numbers?

I remember asking CyanConnode a question, that was causing some discussion on the bulletin-board a couple of years back. When I came back with an answer, that was not particularly palatable with some of the opinions on here, I was called a liar, by one poster in particular.

Even though I have confirmation of the answer I received.

So, therfore, I respectfully suggest, if you or anyone else wants a direct answer to this or any other question, you should know the direct lines of communication you should follow, to get an answer.

As is pointed out in the CyanConnode Corporate Presentation, for the Interim Results, 2019, the 500k pre-paid licences have been activated, but it does not say when they were activated.

Also stated in the Presentation is the:-

- " £2m revenue taken from this contract to date."
- " Revenues from roll-out expected to grow from 2020."

I do not think that you can link the 1.8m SMETS2 installations, with the 500k licences, on a pro-rata/percentage basis. Different regions/areas, will have a different " not-spot " penetration/requirement, which will vary from region to region.

The EESL 5 million, Pan India tender I posted about earlier this month, is under the Smart Grid Projects - Tender Detail section and gives some details on the locations and the numbers involved per location/district, along with some other tender information.

There are also some expected tenders due for Maghalaga Power Distribution, Himachal Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Daman & Diu, at various stages of development, also with the numbers of meters required.
