Yes indeed, the Arden report was very open in their " risks " as well as what they see as " rewards." So a balanced report, I thought.

And as CyanConnode and John Cronin in particular have recognised, CyanConnode share-holders have been " subsidising " and supporting the Company in general, through Placings over the years.

Which may not be all that common, in years to come.

So, I think we can agree, that there will still be R&D spending required.

With the revenue contribution over a number of years for CyanConnode being limited, while markets were being developed/are being developed, I would think that R&D spending for CyanConnode, in percentage terms, has been higher than the " large company " that you refered too, but less in pounds sterling.

But the percentage of R&D spending, per year, should come down, even if the value is similar, as the CyanConnode revenue/turnover increases and markets/customers, begin to add value to the Company.

So I would imagine that R&D will still be needed, if and where neccessary, for individual clients.

" As this is dated November 2018, I believe that this suggest that the " ... Trilliant Estate ..... " that it refers to, is SMETS1.

I have also provided a report that shows the growth of smart meter installations, from 2012, through to Q3 2018, indicating that there were just over 13 million installed ( Gas and Electric ) during that period. Which is similar to jakes post, but would also indicate that they are all SMETS1 meters.

As I understand that SMETS2 does not roll-out offically, in any great quantities, until March/April 2019.

With being involved with the UK smart meter programme, in one way or another, since 2011, it is not suprising that Trilliant have so many end-points installed.

I had a conversation with John Cronin about competition, a couple of meetings back, when John acknowledged that Trilliant were a competitor of CyanConnode. So put another way, you could say that CyanConnode were a competitor of Trilliant. Maybe to a lesser degree, but a competitor none the less. And others.

The fact that TrillIiant and CyanConnode, are both being used within the UK smart meter programme, seems to suggest that both companies have a specific expertise that is being utilized within the UK smart meter roll-out.

Firstly, good luck with all your investments.

As far as CyanConnode are concerned, the order from India, RNS'd on 18th September, 2018, the Distribution Agreement, RNS'd on 22nd November, 2018, the Licensing Agreement RNS'd on 7th December, 2018 and the Newsletter from February, 2019, about the Licensing Agreement with Beijing Instruments, which also contains a video of CyanConnodes Manufacturing Partner, Syrma Technology, are all different and yet significant in their own way.

All in my opinion, of course. Some opinions differ. As you will gather by some of todays posts.

But as I said earlier, good luck with all your investments.

.... tender, was submitted on 8th October, 2018, with a bid-submission date of October 31st, 2018, for RF smart meters to be installed over a 24 month period.

There are also EESL projects mentioned within the report.

There is also another report from December 28th, 2018, which indicates that " The corporation will install at least 30,000 smart meters, in ADB area of Indore Smart City Project ........ "

This may be the same project that was reported on October 8th, 2018.

I disagree CB,

The early days of any product, are probably not the strongest, as far as sales are concerned. What is important, in the early stages, is to build a framework, for delivery of the particular product you manufacture.

In September 2018, CyanConnode had a significant order in CyanConnode winning a $11.6m order from India, for the Omnimesh IPv6 solution.

In January 2019, we were informed that during Q4 2018, CyanConnodes " ....... manufacturing partner increased module production to 32,000 units per month." And " ...... has taken steps to ensure module production, by its local partner, can be scaled up to meet accelerating demand."

In February 2019, we received confirmation about our Indian manufacturing partner Syrma Technology and the manufacture of the CyanConnode Gateway.

So the delivery/manufacture infrastructure is in place, with the hoped for " ......... accelerating demand ......... " to look forward too.

........ JJess, is similar to the original Ultimesh Solution, but is part of the new solutions offer that CyanConnode provide, of Narrowband RF Mesh / Optimal / Omnimesh and Omni IoT Platform.

I asked the question to the Company, some months ago, when the re-branding to Omnimesh, was introduced.

The Ultimesh solution was originally used in / intended for, countries that do not have the same standards-based requirements as say India. It is also a much lower cost solution and better suited to some markets.

So now the Optimal Solution provides this lower cost offer, if/when required. With no additional R&D required, at the moment.
