Easy for me to say now the market is opened, but nothing in the RNS is going to significantly move the SP! We will have to await the Ardala drilling results, which as VanVan observed is likely before FINEX in mid October.

Well they are out, though not yet on LSE. Nothing unexpected from what I can see, did take a couple of things from MDVs comment (didn't see any comment from Dr S):-
'These (2018/2019 drilling) programmes are to be funded from current resources and future cash-flow.' - that is good reassurance

'We are also carefully evaluating a few opportunities outside of the current portfolio' - not so sure myself, if Salinbas really is as big as hoped. Do we need any more balls in the air? I would hate to think that is implying Salinbas is insufficient.

'Between now and the year-end we are expecting that cash flow will continue to be received at similar and perhaps somewhat higher levels, with the current gold price being the most significant moderating factor' - reference to the current POG. Nothing on the state of the Turkish economy, even in passing, which I would have liked

I dunno!!!! I like this board, a real range of views being expressed. I think we are all reasonably well informed. I did know that further borrowing to develop a Tavsan plant would be necessary - I discussed plant with Dr S after the AS meeting. It is too far to truck unprocessed ore from Tavsan to Kiziltepe, but at the same time only a reduced plant will be needed as final processing (of some form of 'concentrated' material) will be taken to Kiziltepe. Also the necessary Tavsan plant will be easier and faster to construct as less earth moving is required. I don't know exactly the nature of the plant to be built at Tavsan, but I got from somewhere that payback is only a year compared with a (current) mine life of only 3 years.
Give its location far from Kiziltepe or Tavsan it seems logical that any processing plant in the Salinbas area will eventually require a full plant development.
So there we are. The interchanges today have opened my eyes, and while not yet doubting my continued investment has certainly made me want to follow news closely and personally attend future hosted events. A genuine thanks to all for your input.

ps yes heard the Trumps stand up act, he said something about his Administration being 'one of the best ever' - damning himself with faint praise, which produced laughter. You lot over the pond really need to get rid of him!

I know where you are coming from, and respect those views. From my perspective the smaller the company, the more we as shareholders are dependent on key personnel. If, in the fullness of time, I don't trust either their integrity or competence I will sell. I'm certainly not naïve enough to think the aims of the staff in Turkey are focussed on keeping me in scones & cream (just with a cuppa), real ale (tonight) and sloe gin at Christmas (managed to find some more sloes locally today). They are there for themselves, but name the BOD of any quoted company where that isn't true - look at Corbyns criticisms of the boards of utility companies where total 'compensation' is frequently in the £5m+ pa ballpark. For doing what? Steering a steady ship? I am not a Corbyn fan (that's an understatement) but to an extent he has a point. However without Dr S and MDV I don't think AAU would have the prospects it seems to have. Maybe I'm wrong (and old and daft and overly trusting). Time will tell. The excitement I guess with a small company is the likelihood there will boom or bust, though after Carillion etc what is safe??

Just a thought but every time I read an RNS the first thing (clue maybe) is to look at the initial words. If the release says 'announces' I take the view that the BOD are a bit fearful of the way the content will be received. 'Pleased to announce' is a bit more upbeat, ''very pleased to announce' usually precedes a corker. I hope there are more 'pleases' and 'verys' for FOX in the future!

As you are probably aware I wasn't very pleased that that the information I subsequently received from Dr S about the road was hijacked by 'the other board' and used as a stick to beat the company. Kind of counterproductive because I will now be more reluctant to pass info on via these boards, if indeed I get responses from the company to any direct enquiries following that. Even this morning I see some very cynical views being expressed there on Dr S' motivations - if indeed these are shareholders why would they not just sell? That is a bit of a rhetorical question by the way

Pleased to see the more positive results. I shall remain a fence sitter at the moment but there are definite signs that this does appear to have bottomed out and is turning the corner. Happy for the patient investors like unkrvw & eshaitan etc!

And continuing on a negative theme I cant see any buying (or selling) ahead of interims/production because I don't see any surprises are anticipated. The existing Kiziltepe operation seems settled and running to pretty much capacity, weather shouldn't have produced any problems, hopefully no problems with the plant we don't know about, so the only variables really have been grade and POG/currency fluctuations - the latter 2 are known, hopefully the good grades have continued.
Being more positive however I do have hopes for newsflow in the next couple of months. I am still clinging to that apparent throwaway comment of Dr S '......drilling (at Salinbas) has been going very well indeed.....'. Bit sad that I am so desperate that I am analysing the minutiae of what was said, but I find that what Is said in (relatively) unscripted interviews can be illuminating.

Keeping a close eye on HUR. POO allowing, it should have a strengthening SP in the next weeks up to first oil in the early months of 2019 (pre Brexit deadline!). Then I expect the SP to stagnate due to lack of news while they use the early production system to work out the reservoir. I'm sitting on a comfy margin at the moment, plan to followed a staged exit from them when the SP is right, maybe sell enough to run some 'free' shares. All I know from my erratic investment history is that whatever I do it will prove to be wrong! No plans to sell AAU.

Why AIM? Was your decision. We all take decisions everyday, some you win, some you don't.
Don't know why you sold with FOIL approaching and POO rising, but that's your choice. Believe me, I've made some bad decisions in the past!

I also listen to Radio 6, mainly on Sundays as the alternatives are dire.
Have heard of Hummingbird of course but never considered. Always open minded (some would say vacant) just looked at their website. Liberia, Mali. No thanks. Other than Centamin (depending on geographical definitions) I have only got burned with companies in Africa, and not investing there is pretty much my number 1 rule. That is just simply a result of financial experience, no other reason. One letter different is oil company HUR, which is doing rather well (forgive the pun) as they approach production (plus buoyant POO of course). I just want AAU to follow their lead, I think they have similar potential.

Itching for news here. Keeping expecting at least a Twitter update, instead of which just Retweets about how gold is good for you and that Turkey is full of the stuff! Gold performance itself is lacklustre, just look at the graph (has it lost its magic after several thousand years?) Aas a physical commodity I'm not sure Id want to hold it, the only time I bought any was on the eve of the Brexit vote as I saw it as a one way bet - 'remain' was a nailed on foregone conclusion so would change nothing whereas the sterling plunge in the event of a very unlikely 'leave' result would give a nice return overnight. It worked!
Anyway, sorry for rambling, just frustrated waiting. I'll go now and listen to Popmaster on Radio 2!!

That's pleasant. Went out at 10 on the bike to pick sloes in the local hedgerows to make the warming tipple in time for Christmas. Came back and I'm now a bit richer. That was a nice surprise.

Doubt that, but The boat will sail very soon, that seems certain and Brent Crude has breached $80 with predictions of $100 in the new year. That would be nice timing at FOIL.

Only you must decide that!! There is lots to read on the net and, despite the blind alleys and bickering, some posters here really know what they are talking about.
My opinion (not advice) would be dip a toe without a second thought. But take the plunge only after proper research.
