Reader - absolutely.

Think many people (certainly ones I know) are now planning to take all SIPP holdings out of SIPP at marginal tax rates and drip into family ISAs instead.

No point waiting for tax bands to go up and little point holding if SIPP proceeds are falling into 40% tax bracket and will be part of IHT pot.

I understand this is a first world problem - but that’s where the tax payers live 😀😀

As PP says, results are a little difficult to compare to previous quarters - I tried reading Q323 and Q324 side by side but layout, different reporting metrics and claiming first half stuff again in Q3 makes it difficult.

However, compared with Q3 23:

Production up

Exit rate up

Next LVL activity up

Couple of new income streams (as per PP's post)

Unit price down (but impact reduced with hedging

Unit costs up (but at an acceptable level)

Once again, reporting of financial derivatives gives the unhelpful overall loss figure!

But - they are now showing that they are doing what they said they would do, which hasn't been the case last few years.

Steady as she goes - which is what I was hoping for.

ie they haven't done anything towards it yet, despite it being a strategic priority for about 6 years.

Will, if you’re after predictability and a Share Price following logic then you’re in the wrong place.

US election results in our favour, HH gas futures up today, US pre market price was ok this morning (but it’s now followed UK price down). Yet still we fall 4%!

Guess it’s just a bit of profit taking following recent gains. Nothing has changed adversely in the fundamentals.

As we say on a different forum, it’s now an “uncomfortable hold.”

Terry, I don’t think AROs are kicked into the long grass at all.

DEC will continue to cap at over the mandated state / federal requirements, will continue to cap 3rd party wells at a profit, will continue to expand NextLVL and will continue to reflect future ARO costs in their accounts.

All very much business as usual and in step with their declared strategy.

Lots of UK sellers jumping ship at this price.

Guess that means new holders are more likely to hold for longer.

Donuk - public service pension schemes are mostly imaginary.

Although my mod pension is excellent, there are no investments behind it, it’s just a bunch of Gov IOUs so nothing to invest. It’s all a bit of a Ponzi scheme - though numbers of ex military are decreasing over the years as number of service personnel plummets.
