Simms regularly does a cashflow estimate but it’s always it’ll be fine next quarter and market cap will increase by 10 times.

Now what could be interesting is another round of arbitration over oil fields in KRG holding Russia responsible for contract breaches. Lots of frozen Russian assets out there to pay arbitration awards.

I can answer - though there are other things in my my life besides BBs.

The MDC is functioning intermittently - but without the reliability and high availability required to generate confidence and thus further investment. This is not unusual but looks worse because EQT have been saying since Q3 2023 it'll be ready next Quarter - but it still isn't. Doesn't inspire much confidence for potential purchasers doses it?

Major interest to date is thus university level rather than industrial level.

Maybe reality isn't for you - just a thought.

Lots of sells but haven’t seen any significant sell trades, just lots of small ones. PIs taking their 25/30% perhaps.

Also a low volume day. 75k of shares just after mid day against an average daily volume of 270k ish.

@1278 that was about 10p more than previous sells and about 8p more than recent buys!

They really wanted those shares quickly.

Italy MDC refinancing in Dec 23 despite the fact the lender couldn’t visit due to Xmas holidays.

Is the Italy MDC up and running continuously and operating commercially and making a profit?

Is it ready for prospective customers to view / operate / learn on or is it still being optimised?

When was it promised to be fully operational?

I still don’t think it is despite many promises and many dates!

It sounds a lot like you’re trying to convince yourself that your disproportionate investment has been and still is a good idea. Not many seem to be supporting you and the share buying public certainly aren’t.

Perhaps step away for a while and try a fresh perspective.

I think Tartine points out the 2 possible positive news items over the next 12 months. Question is how likely do potential investors think they are? That will decide the share price.

Doubt anyone sees an investment case for a KRG oil company just making local sales.

I’m about 25% down on capital but probably slightly up after years of dividends. I’m holding to see if:

- we get a surprise windfall from arbitration (I don’t think that’s priced in yet).

- our Turkish investors manipulate share price, local politics and pipeline availability to their own benefit (and the benefit of anyone who has held the shares).

Neither of these has anything to do with the Genel BoD who are just sat there paralysed.

The theory is great (paid for both inputs and outputs and make the world a better place). The bench tests of technology have been promising.

BUT the company has spent / wasted a fortune in inept attempts to roll out a commercially viable system. Our demonstration plant is still not fully operational and nowhere near generating a profit.

Recent write downs by Aviva will make potential investors even more cautious.

We don’t need management promises, pipelines of pipelines or your blather. We need a working demonstrator functioning at commercial levels of availability and reliability with a predictable output. Til then we’re a good plan without a clear route to market.

I don’t think we’ve got the BoD to get us there.

Hope the derivatives team are all in working to average up future hedges and gain some of this rise.

I don’t think you can work it out. Don’t know whether they took share price at start of discussions, at final agreement or at close. Hence the question.

Did anyone ever work out:

- what value was ascribed to the shares on issue?

- what the duration of the lock in period was?

Guess there’s a risk with latest rise that some / all of these might be sold off.

I’m bashing the management not the company.

Bashing Simms because he talks absolute rubbish and I worry someone may believe him.

I am invested here and would like an improvement - just don’t see it happening under current BoD which is a shame.

Steph, in the 80s / 90s when investment Trusts were very popular they would often trade at a significant discount to their NAV. In that situation the exact value of the holdings was known (cos the shares in them were being traded) but still the discount to NAV endured.

The size of the discount appeared to be a measure of the confidence investors had in the fund managers. Good managers lower discount, poor managers larger discount.

Similar here but the value of holdings isn’t known so build in some risk discount. Are we confident in BoD? Those who aren’t will want another level of risk reduction built in with a greater NAV discount.

If you get frustrated that the market isn’t being logical you’ll get a headache! It’s fear and greed that drive the prices, not logic.
