Stupmy - firstly 13 Nov has gone! It was Wednesday.

The Houston Investor Conference was 22 October ( not sure if Wood attended). Guess the visit was maybe a follow on from this???

Not a good week for potential investors to visit!

If the shorts carry on slowly unwinding as seems to be the pattern for last few weeks there are still about 14 days of average trading volume sat there as pent up buy demand.

Hopefully leading to a continued drift upwards in share price purely due to buying demand, never mind the fundamentals.

@ 1744 / 1815 today he's telling us he sold 13,000 shares up 35p each (no timings and we're supposed to be impressed he's got £130K to gamble on a whim?)

UK after hours trades at 1050 ish

US up 4.75% to £10.60 ish

No sign of a drop yet! Glad you id nicely, but not as nicely as you would have done if you'd held a little longer.

Pete - have to disagree. Whilst anyone who is sane has filtered GG and the ARO parrot, I can't see anything wrong with Pickledpeck - he differentiates between facts and his opinions and whilst he gets the facts correct who is to say his opinions are any less valid than anyone else's?

My only issue on these forums are those who confuse their opinions with facts - I'm afraid the facts win out every time.

Does make you question if we as individuals know when we’ve tripped from fundamentals into some bizarre psychological or emotional decision making.

A couple of interesting (worrying / concerning) slides in the IR presentation!

Slide 15 - hedging: The hedged prices are decreasing year on year 24 to 25 to 26 then only a minor increase to $3.18 for 27. Forward prices for Dec 27 HH are currently 4.210 (I know DEC don't get HH prices for all their gas). Hopefully the derivatives team can engineer these hedged prices up with some financial shenanigans over time.

Slide 18 - debts and equity. DEC are forecasting market cap of $730 Mn for Dec 25 - so a share price of $14.90 then market cap of $865Mn for Dec 26 - so a share price of $17.66 (based on constant EV/EBITDA ratio of 4.0x and assuming that Adjusted EBITDA is held flat). Bit of a gamble predicting future market cap and share price - if they'd forecast that anytime over the last few years they'd have been miles out.

Never make a promise you don't have to make has always been my view - if you do, under promise and over deliver. Hostage to fortune springs to mind!

Selling up at 85.6p a share earlier this afternoon looks like it was a smart trade now. (Not me unfortunately).

Mmm interesting but don’t quite get how that will work. Currently Genel (and I guess DNO) local sales are for cash in advance to an international bank account.

Don’t see Iraq paying up front and doubt KRG can manage that sort of cashflow issue.

Baghdad trying to look like they’re being helpful whilst knowing it won’t work perhaps.

Egusi - think the share price movements show this is not a buy and hold for many buyers.

It’s an opportunistic buy with the chance for large single digit moves in a day.

£120k of chunky sized buys since 1100.

Directors buying in? Sorry, that was a joke but someone is buying. Our Turkish friends with a little more insider info perhaps.

I get that local politics and pipeline closure are beyond their direct control and that even talking about it in public is probably not a great idea - but they have known for 8 plus years that the KRG are not great at sticking to contracts or paying on time. I dread to think how much they have spent on failed Morocco or Somaliland E&P projects but still no diversification.

They claim one serious potential acquisition option per quarter makes it to BoD level discussion - but their criteria are so set that nothing meets them.

SP now up 8% so not sure what the market saw that I didn't - a punt on arbitration and getting receivables back perhaps??

Perversely, the current tax regime incentivises me to empty my SIPP before state pension kicks in at 67!
