I work as a limited company contracted to a larger one.

I invoice with VAT on top of my charges.

Larger company pays me plus VAT and I pass VAT to HMRC offset by whatever VAT I have paid on services, hotels, food, travel costs etc during the period.

Larger company offsets the VAT it has paid me against their wider VAT expenses.

that’s what the market is interested in. has he ****ed up? is there a disagreement over a holding, a potential holding or strategy?

we all hate uncertainty - fingers crossed no-one says it’s a great opportunity to average down!

If I was rubbish at running a company last year chances are I will be this year and many people could do it better than current incumbents who match their wages to people not trashing company value.

Perhaps the green boxes are correcting your factual inaccuracies.

Perhaps they are providing information that would help your decision making.

DEC share price does seem to have a pre 0900 wobble downwards most mornings before a nice recovery in later morning followed by a leg up once the US opens.

What causes the wobble? Early morning short term profit takers? Or does the SP just need a caffeine hit to get it going?

Not sure I agree with Steph’s desire for more buybacks.

Firstly, I’ve never seen any evidence they work and there are so many other factors in play on share price their effect is impossible to isolate.

Secondly the obvious increased demand for shares the BBs cause (temporarily) is more than offset by the appearance of a lack of company strategy.

Grow’s primary focus is investing in companies needing help to start up, develop or grow. Not in investing in itself. If a share BB was saving a dividend you have a stronger argument but it isn’t here.

If you can’t spend the money give it back to investors as a special dividend - but preferably find somewhere good to invest it.

I really do not have an opinion either way.

I hope it’ll pick up again and would like a steady climb as the component elements and NAV gain in value. But - I’ve got no specifics on when we’ll get realisations or what we’ll buy into next. I’m mainly here for a stake in Revolut which I have been using for years as a currency wallet and I think is excellent.

More positive info tomorrow perhaps.

My points are less about the company going forward and more about Simms and his continual, moronic posts about “it’ll all be wonderful tomorrow.” He’s been continually wrong and doesn’t understand the difference between facts and unrealistically optimistic opinions.

Where the past might inform the future is the behaviour / competence of the BoD. Dors anyone really believe that we have the best people in place to make a success of this company based on past performance?

Don’t think you can make many price assumptions on that table, it’s way too dynamic.

As a personal example DEC are in the mid 300s with a share price of 930p. Today’s SP is 1200 plus. That’s just one example of movement around the in/out border.

Hi Asp - no argument over your points but they’ve been clear for most of this year.

Only recent changes have been an uplift in gas prices, DEC confirming acquisitions, US election results and a slight reduction in interest rates.

So, are the recent rises (30% over last month) due to a sudden realisation of value, the changes above or just an extra demand for shares due to shorts closing? Or perhaps all the above.

My personal view is that present rises are mostly due to shorts closing so a little self sustaining. I expect this will be followed by more potential buyers recognising the value (it is pretty difficult given the way financial derivatives are treated). One headline for last quarter was DEC slips into £1mn loss for Q3!

All upward pressures though so good for holders.

Our management were truly terrible - correct!

Not just on dilution, on cashflow, on raising money, on telling the truth, on looking after shareholders, on managing projects, on closing deals, on making profits etc etc etc

You were forecasting a much better next quarter back in 2022 - hopefully if you keep saying the same thing over and over and over again you’ll be right one day. But maybe not on this share.
