The Trent engines are more fuel efficient than other rival engines. The downside is high sulphur content kerosene can reduce the lifespan of leaner burn engines and also in the far east middle east the sulphur content in the air is higher. So the airlines that are complaining are by definition using cheaper kerosene that causes more sulphur pollution. The other thing to note is look at where a few of the last bosses of Boeing worked for? Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work it out!

While I agree with your positive sentiment I personally believe the SP will be in the £10-12 region by summer autumn 2026. Excluding SMR and increasing flying hours I wouldn’t be one bit surprised if there’s not an announcement by Airbus and RR in 2026 that they will be using RR engines on narrow body planes. That’ll be new NEO versions or a new clean sheet design. Don’t forget the A330neo didn’t sell well but recently is starting to see an uptick. Airbus and Boeing have predicted that approximately 42,000 new civilian aircraft are needed worldwide by 2040. RR will play a big part in this.

Can’t find that safety notice by the FAA. The last safety notice by the FAA was in January for around 3000 GE engines.

Good morning. Well I’ve been reading the comments on hear for about a month now. My 81p worth ;) (if anyone is interested?) RR is in such a strong strategic position I really think it’s still very under valued. I think there’s enough evidence for the SP to be £8.50-£10 by the end of this year. Over the past three months there’s been some MM going on with the SP which will continue until results days, personally I think the RR SP should already be at £7. I’m positive the results at the end of feb will be at the top end of RR own prediction if not a little bit higher.
