Ok this is very interesting. I wonder if the GE engine for the 777x is upto it. With the TRENT 1000 XE doubling time on wing in hot sandy environments and over tripling time in wing in non sandy environments for the 787 seems somethings going on!

Yes RR SP is down over £1 over the past 6 weeks. Has anything actually fundamentally negatively changed for RR as a business? I would suggest it hasn’t in fact there was a lot of positive good news yesterday and it’s looking like the Dubai air show will provide more next week. Sell if you want but don’t get caught with your trousers down! For me RR is a hold and buy in the dips!

Yep the Wylfa site has space capacity for 8 RR SMR. If you actually look at the gov energy policy RR is front and centre. Seems we now have a government that is pro business and British business at that.

Looks like Emirates have had enough waiting for a widebody. A350 orders incoming.

"The government will give the go-ahead on Thursday for Rolls-Royce to site its first three small modular reactors (SMR) at Wylfa in the north of the island, choosing it ahead of a rival site at Oldbury in Gloucestershire.“

That sounds to me like there might be more RR SMR's ordered for the UK. Hopefully soon.

With the energy transition and now the AI energy requirements coming down the track nuclear stocks are going to be the big winners. Well not all nuclear stocks as some have stupidly high share price and not even regulatory approval to build a prototype. Those are US hype stocks and not solid companies like RR.

If you look at ISA’s the gov have repeatedly said they want more people to invest using ISA’s.

They won’t be dropping S&S ISA limits.

It’s looking like they will drop cash ISA limits and increase S&S ISA limits. Two thirds of all ISA money is in savings cash ISA they want more to go into S&S ISA’s.

If you look at RR Trump has had more of a negative influence than anything the UK government has or hasn’t done.

Well with all the ups and downs over the past 5 weeks and the Trump induced slump in April May this year the RR SP on balance has been very resilient. It’ll push past £12 and by Q2 next year be around £15.

RR doesn’t make engines for short haul narrow body planes. The shut down is very unlikely to affect RR flying hours! Also this is a guess but Emirates could be about to order more A350 as they know when they will actually get the planes unlike another manufacturer!

So the Q3 results will be out in little over a week.

There’s every chance they will be good.

I think if the RR SP is north of £11.70 the day before we should see it pushing through £12. I hoping it sends a clear signal that there’s solid growth in RR to come.

Well if you print lots of money like the conservative did to try and get growth and way more to get through Covid don’t be surprised if you get inflation. Inflation was at 10% only a couple of years ago. The BOE are keeping interest rates up and are doing quantitative tightening to combat inflation. Both will reduce GDP productivity and government tax receipts. But some how this is nothing to do with the last governments dreadful policies and all the current governments doing. I was a conservative voter for years but realised Osborne was damaging the UK economy with austerity. You can’t grow and economy with austerity and if you print money causing inflation you remove capital from working people and transfer it to the wealthy. A consumer economy needs people to consume if you remove their capital they can’t participate. Taxing people or causing inflation both remove capital from the majority of the population. One way goes to the government the other to already wealthy people.
