Only if you sold. The Iran issue has knocked loads of markets around the world. RR has consistently had positive news for the past 3 years and the underlying fundamentals are still there . Yes flying hours will be down, how long will this continue? Difficult to know but I would not want to be out when it jumps because it will be big when it does. Dead cat bounce is for cats not lions.

The volatility is going to make people lose out.

We could be looking at a big jump up at any point on a daily basis. I bought more this morning missed the bottom but already up on that purchase.

Well with the SP falling again the buybacks will remove more shares each day. It may not feel like it now but this is going to be positive for RR SP in the long run.

Retirement.

When Sunak dropped fuel duty by 5p when he was in government the price went up by 5-6p within days. We should also remember fuel duty has been frozen since 2012. With all the issues going on with oil gas it makes the case for nuclear wind solar and grid battery storage. Once “project union” gets going and the gas pipe network is upgraded to take hydrogen then that’ll help get us off gas. Most newish boilers are a “blended” type so as hydrogen natural gas mix gets rolled out most people will be ok and then eventually it’ll be all hydrogen in the pipe work. Guess what the electrolysis method to make hydrogen uses electricity which will likely be supplied by wind solar and dedicated SMR’s.

Nothing has really changed for RR. Flying hours will be down a bit but once things settle down (2 months time) long haul will just divert a bit and the longer hours will recoup any short term loss very quickly. I’m not even thinking about the defence part of RR.

Moody’s upgrades RR from Baa1 to A3.

The last 1 and half hours today the daily graph looked like a hair comb.

Personally I’m just adding in the dips weekly although I don’t get the bottom of the dip but close on occasion. Once all this passes (hopefully in the next 2 months) we should see how little the effects have been for RR as a business.

The UltraFan 30 is being designed for the 30,000lb thrust class, which is exactly what a 200+ seat 737 replacement requires.

The technology edge that UltraFan 30 offers features a 90-inch fan and a Power Gearbox that can handle 20MW of power. This allows for a bypass ratio of 15:1 (the current 737 MAX is only about 9:1), which translates to a massive jump in fuel savings.

By working with Rolls-Royce, Boeing breaks its total dependency on GE/CFM, giving them more leverage in negotiations and a "backup" technology if the Open Fan design fails to meet noise, safety regulations or fuel savings.

RR has 3 core businesses. For me it only needs two to be growing for it to be a strong buy and hold. Currently all three arenas of operations have growth and continued growth for years to come. Any other FTSE companies have these 3 pillars?

RR SP will bounce back in a month or two. Topped up in the dip first thing. The two things to take away is. One a massive over reaction by markets. Two don’t bet against RR.

Well I’m optimistic that the RR SP will get back on track over £14 in the next few weeks. I did think £15 at the end of Q1 but that’s looking unlikely now. I’m still confident that £17-£20 by the end of 2026 is where we will be.

Could we still be on for around £15 by the end of Q1?

Sentiment might have taken a little knock recently but the underlying business fundamentals are still very solid.

Roll Royce and energy infrastructure stocks fit halo. Extremely happy that I've been invested in RR and 3 green energy stocks for 5 years now.

This looks to be the beginning of a mega trend.

Well the morning of the 26th is looking to be very good. I did think around £14.20. But as long as there isn’t a pull back early next week £14.60 (ish) is on the cards! GLA and keeping everything crossed!

Looking like the SP will consolidate this week and get a bit of a bump if airbus results day on the 19th is positive. This should give a little boost ready for RR results day on the 26th!

With the RR SP being pushed down it’ll make the cash allocated for buy backs go further! Still plenty of fuel left in the RR tank!

Does anyone genuinely think the RR SP is falling because of the company or its performance? There’s only been positive news the past few months. For me it’s clearly a lot of manipulation going on. RR has always been a long play and nothing that underpins RR has changed for the worse! You sell if you want to this gentleman is not for selling….
