Yes that’s what is being said in the article. Heathrow is now full as a long haul international hub because of the war in Iran. Asian airlines are also saying massive demand for long haul to Europe. Airlines are cancelling short haul flights to conserve fuel for long haul. All of this is positive for RR engine flying hours. Agreed the RR SP will shoot up over £15 once things settle.

Heathrow taking more passengers in Q1. It’s now taking up the slack because or the war in Iran. Possibly longer long haul flights?

Open fan has issues. The engines are not a little bit louder they are considerably louder. Variable pitch blades are being looked at which means more complexity weight reduced fuel efficiency and higher costs. A blade out would be catastrophic so a stronger heavier air frame is needed which reduces fuel efficiency. Much longer landing gear to accommodate the blades on the ground adding more weight complexity and cost and even more reduced fuel efficiency. Gear box will also add a weight penalty. From what I’ve read the 20% savings will be at best half of that.

Ultrafan has almost none of the design issues an open fan has and a turbo fan is a very mature architecture much is already known about performance. If the claimed 20-25% improvement on fuel efficiency is reached the only issue will be the weight penalty of a gear box all the other weight penalties of the open fan won’t apply to the ultrafan. My moneys on an ultrafan evolution not an open fan none revolution.

Well the FED stopped quantitative tightening in December and is now pumping money Quantitative easing into the US economy. This is to prop up the bubble. If you are invested good luck. As RR is a halo stock and has 3 divisions that will see continued growth for years to come I would suggest it’s a much safer hold. Yes there’s trump induced volatility but that’s a temporary thing for the RR SP. Good luck….

The BOE statement isn’t anything new especially the AI bubble. It’s been known for sometime Nvidia and others are engaging in “round tripping” which was a large part of what caused the dot com crash. RR is very oversold at the moment and it’ll shoot up very quickly. As the greatest Britain said.

It’s 20,000 short haul flights. This is to conserve fuel for long haul flights. RR don’t make engines for short haul planes only long haul. Also Asian airlines are seeing huge demand for long haul to and from Europe. This points to RR flying hours not being impacted as bad as people fear. And that’s the thing fear don’t be scared and panic!!! As corp Jones would say “Don’t panic DONT PANIC”

As of today 22nd April we have 1004 days of the current presidents term left. There is going to be volatility and so far there has been one big dip each year. Tariffs last year and trumps war on Iran this year. This is the current new normal. You can sit and hold and top up in the dips or try and day trade chasing the peaks and troughs. Where RR is concerned nothing has really impacted it as a company and yes flying hours will be down. Just keep in focus what RR does as a company and how much growth for RR is coming down the track. RR is a “halo” so yes like all other jet engine manufacturers it’ll take a hit on hours but everything else it does has large growth. Even now there’s still plenty of fuel in the RR tank. We will still be looking at a £28-£30 SP by 2030

Well I actually thought the drop this morning would be much more. Shame the SMR signed contract happened at the moment as in a normal world this would have given a bit of a bump up. Sadly we are going to see big yearly volatility until there’s a new person in the white house in 2029. None of the underlying fundamentals for RR has been significantly damaged but we all better get used to big yearly volatility!

The pragmatist in me says keep the faith and continue to hold and buy more in the dips. I’m halfway through a ten year hold and have done very well even with the Trump induced dips of tariffs and now the Iran war. We have two and a half years of Trump trouble left but I can’t see any permanent damage being done to RR.

Nothing has changed it’s just now a waiting. If you held or bought more in the dips it will be a good position to be in. It’ll jump up soon enough and it’ll be fast once it does!

RR SMR is a better option being 470mw with all the others being around 300mw.

I thought the RR SP was going to be £17-£20 range by the end of 2026. I was hoping for closer to £20 but even now £17 is still a strong possibility. The share buybacks ongoing will help the SP. Two things I’ve learned is that don’t bet against RR and there’s plenty of fuel left in the RR tank. This still true today as it was 3 three years ago.

Well this shows RR expect demand to be strong!

Yes I agree better margins on long haul engines and LTSA. The sell off has been a massive overreaction and I’m now thinking a bit of manipulation is going on. The culprit could well be “a bit of friendly fire.” If you catch my drift. Although I’m very happy for the share price to go down a bit more as it’ll be better for the share buybacks. The RR SP will take off again at any moment now one wants to get caught with their trousers down. The other thing is it would appear that RR isn’t really seen as a defence stock by investors even though this division is now a growth engine for RR.

I think this really applies at the moment. A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity. An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.

Well the RR SP could go down a bit more next week. If you have got out don’t wait to much longer as once it flips it’ll climb fast like a typhoon.

RR has growth in its DNA.

Well we will still see a bit of volatility over the next few months. Sure flying hours will be down a bit but the RR growth strategy in the medium to long term is still compelling. I personally held and topped up in the dip. I didn’t buy in the bottom but it’s all good and by the end of the year the RR SP could still be around 50% higher than the current £12. There’s still plenty of fuel in the RR tank.

Yep agreed. Keep seeing articles that this ratio or that ratio is out and RR is over priced. Classic miss understanding of a true “halo” stocks worth.
