How much do people thing RR SP will jump on positive SMR news in June? SMR fits in nicely with net zero base load and system inertia giving that few seconds of safety margin for switching. My heart says more than £1 my head says 50p! Looking for genuine thoughts.

If this is all accurate then it’s looking good for SMR. EDF did pull out of the SMR process so these sites will no longer be needed by them so the UK government “could” buy them up ready for SMR deployment by a different company!

Good find. That press release gives me even more confidence that the UK government wants to support RR. This makes the SMR situation look even more likely to go RR way.

Well the last month has seen a lot of volatility with the SP. I’ve read a few times that most SP will generally recover from this volatility by Sep-Oct this year. I did top up abit although I didn’t get the bottom of the dip. I personally don’t see RR being knocked off course for very long as the underlying fundamentals of the company is still strong. £10 by results day feb 2026!

This article back in 2020 was the light bulb moment for me. SP under £1 I couldn’t believe it. Took my position after doing some research. SMR was the key for me back then and it’s looking likely that this is going to push the SP much higher over the next few years. There’s way way more to come from this company and even if the UK government doesn’t green light RR SMR other countries will. There’s also ultrafan waiting in the wings. There isn’t a better engineer to be invested in! The future is very bright!

I personally think that £20 by 2030 is conservative.

£20 by 2028 is extremely likely.

Yes I’m invested so have a vested interest in that price but I genuinely think it’s more than achievable, RR SP is very undervalued at the moment. Don’t forget 4 years of Trump disruption will cause share volatility and investors will look for a company with stable and sustained growth. None of my thinking includes SMR or a return to narrow body aircraft. It’ll be hello RR!

Itll be around £10 after the results day in Feb 2026 and it will go on a tear in 2026. I’ve read something recently and the expectation is most shares would have recovered their Trump losses by sept-oct this year. I also don’t believe that when RR SP was around the £8 point that SMR was a major factor in that price. RR SP has legs and wings!

Well the RR SP will recover this year. Dont forget people were buying and investing at the £8 price. Lots of investors world wide have pulled out into a cash position. That’s an incredible amount of cash waiting for the right time to pile back in. I think the case for RR as a growth stock is still as strong as it was. All that cash waiting to jump back in will also be eyeing RR. We will see a jump in SP soon enough! Don’t get caught with your trousers down!

Well on the face of it the falls looks to have stopped after Trumps double down on tariffs yesterday. At some point all the cash that’s not invested will want to come back in. Will people actually do some research and see RR is a growing company that makes Maine propulsion and jet engines in America and it doesn’t make cars so no 25% tariffs for them.?!?! Trebles all round GLA.

Well as people are saying getting the timing right to buy more or buy back in is almost impossible. It’s not a case of if it will bounce but when!!! GLA!!!

Well looks like a lot of engineering firms have taken a whack over the past couple of weeks with today being the biggest hit. We are at the beginning of a new industrial and energy generation revolution RR is strategically well placed to make big wins from all of it. I think the price has been pushed down far more than it should of so that tells me it’ll bounce back over the next few months as the investors who didn’t understand and missed the boat now do and wanted to buy in cheap.

Well as the RR SP continues to fall it’ll mean that the RR share buyback will reduce the amount of shares out there even more. I bought more this morning.

We will all be down from a couple of weeks ago but then it’s not specific to RR. RR is really well placed in strategic industries which will still be good even if there is a WW recession. RR SP will recover very quickly

As Trump has pointed out there can’t be any trade tariffs on Russia as there’s is currently no trade as there’s a full embargo on all Russian goods and service to the USA! Skynews don’t seem to have done their homework and you’seem to be in support of skynews in their inaccurate reporting. You can’t surely support a dictator invading a sovereign country?

It’s been no secret that Trump wants tariffs but what a way to seal a deal. Fingers crossed!!!

I think King Charlie like his mother and father are actually the best diplomats we’ve ever had. Clearly a pragmatic patriot and with the measured none knee jerk reaction of the government both gently offering an olive branch I think hope they can come to a beneficial trade deal. What ever faults the current government have they want growth and Starmer like him or loath him is a clever opperator. Just watch PMQ’s and Badenoch is a rank amateur and Trump would walk all over her and her front bench. I say this as an ex conservative voter. Bottom line I want the UK and its firms to do well who ever the government of the day is.

This is a guess.

But I think between now and Trumps state visit the UK & US will thrash out a trade deal and the tariffs will be removed. Within a couple of days of the state visit it’ll be announced that a US UK trade deal has been done. It’ll be a big win for the diplomatic and pragmatic approach of Starmer and the UK government.

But I cant see Boeing moving over to ultra fan engines on their narrow body planes not while GE have their claws in Boeing. The GE Boeing "relationship" is part of the ongoing issues for Boeing.

Well with luck the end of the irrational volatility will be over by the end of this week! Nothing has changed RR is still operating in strategic sectors and since Tufan and Helen have been at the helm have moulded RR into a strong sound company. There’s still a hell of a lot more to come from RR.
