I see that Novacyt have placed an advert for a Clinical Performance Manager at the Blizzard Institute on a nine months contract. We know they were working there this time last year with the care homes trial. So it looks like Stratford upon Avon and the Blizzard Institute are the two main external sites where they are conducting clinical trials and surveillance on new products and equipment. They also mention that some of this trial work will be conducted by a CRO, with the manager at each site in overall charge.

larry10, yes research use only tests can be sold in the USA without having to seek FDA approval . Therefore the original ruo version of Escapeplex can be sold ,but the new clinical version would need to apply for FDA approval if I'm correct. Hope this link help's.

It looks like the LAB INNOVATION exhibition at the NEC (Nov 3/4 )is going to be the first opportunity to show potential customers the new co prep unit. Once they have some additional P test's in other respiratory diseases this workflow solution combined with the q devices should be a very marketable package.

Yesterday Novacyt launched Escapeplex as a CE marked test due to clinical demand . Up to the present this has been a research use only test for genotyping samples that have already proved positive in a separate test. Escapeplex tests for the four variant's of concern and also has a 2 gene standard covid19 test built in. So in theory a lab should now only have to run one test instead of two to confirm if covid19 is present and which variant of concern is in circulation. Should the variant's of concern show negative I would expect the sample then be sent for full sequencing to identify any new mutations that have taken place.££

It looks like the only thing you've read is the date at the beginning of the report. As Wilson says it's a blueprint for the way forward with diagnostics for all diseases.

Regarding the news about the new automated workflow solution, this will have more than likely have been developed by a specialist in robotics and handling equipment. One such company Labman Automation is situated approximately 3 miles from It-Is-International. Just a possibility.

Only those who hadn't already voted were eligible to vote the second time . That was the way Genfit did it.

I found this french company Genfit who recently only got 18% of shareholders voting on their AGM resolutions. They rescheduled the AGM for four weeks later with the same resolutions to vote on as far as I can tell. The original vote was retained and shareholders who hadn't already voted were encouraged to do so the second time . Looking on the Genfit website they managed to get 21% for the rescheduled AGM so both the ordinary and extraordinary meetings satisfied the quorum rules.
They were far more open , publishing what percentage had voted in the first place.
Just to add Novacyt failed to get the quorum percentage in 2019. Second time round the ordinary resolutions were voted on and passed but the extraordinary meeting wasn't quorate. No details were released regarding the actual percentage voting in the ordinary meeting.

The gist of the french quorum rules state that a second ordinary meeting can take place without reaching the 20% of shareholders votes originally needed. The second extraordinary meeting would need a minimum of 20% of shareholders instead of 25% for it to take place. A second meeting has to be held within 2 months.

I saw mention earlier on the board about Novacyts tweet regarding Sickle Cell disease. One of the reasons for Novacyt tweeting about SCD is because it can cause problems after transplant surgery ( kidney transplants). Novacyt have told us they are developing tests for the transplant market and I would expect this to be one of a range of pre op screening tests.
Let's see if we get some form of r+d update before the AGM so they can elaborate a bit more about their plan's for the next 12 to 18 month's.

A clinical trial capability of skilled scientists across the company's two r+d sites for the planning and validation of new clinical trials covering new technologies, new products ,or regulatory/ market studies for current products.
We know one of these sites is in Stratford upon Avon from several job adverts. Has anybody got any thoughts on where the second site is ?

I wonder how long it will be till the launch of the automated extraction and sample preparation unit that they mentioned today .A picture of this was first shown in the recent investor presentation. This unit combined with the PROmate chemistry should really simplify their POCT setup.
