Madskill, the automation talked about is a bench top sample preparation unit that has been designed to work with the Promate test . If I'm correct the test samples to be prepared are loaded into a rack and the machine does the rest . At the end of this operation there should be another rack that contains reaction tubes ready for taking out and placing in the q16, q32 devices for PCR testing, correct me if I'm wrong. This video gives an idea how the process works. From pictures we have seen during the August investor presentation the unit Novacyt are developing is probably three quarters of the size of the unit shown in this video.

As the scientists learn more about covid there are an increasing number of reports on how dormant viruses in the human body are being reactivated by covids attack on the immune system. One of these is the Epstein Barr virus which has been found in people with long covid and could be part of the long term effects. Similar reactivation of dormant viruses can also occur after transplant surgery when patient's are taking immuno suppressant drug's . Could Novacyt be developing a multiplex test for some these viruses (H) ?

troublesome, you've only got look at what's happening in Russia at the moment with the delta variant . Only just over 30% of the population are vaccinated and the fourth wave is surging through the country with death rates five times higher than October last year . There's a long way to go and a lot more to learn before this virus is brought under any sort control globally.

Steve ,you posted that Novacyt are supplying PROmate 3 gene , at the present time such a test doesn't exist. The latest contract is for the supply of PROmate 1 gene. Hope this helps.

That's correct Steve ,the Mygo mini and Mygo Pro are the original names of the two devices. When you see the accounts for It-Is International they show 5.9 million of inter company sales to Novacyt and over 1 million of other sales .The latter will more than likely be Mygo devices that they still sell.

DRB, that link you posted is what started me looking in the first place .If you look on the Tib-Molbiol website their covid variant tests can be used on the Mygo devices which It-Is International manufacture.

Do Novacyt know that there is a German company using the Winterplex name on their version of a covid 19 ,fluA ,fluB and rsv test? A search of trademark applications in the UK shows that Novacyt first filed to trademark the name Winterplex on 21/01/21 and it was eventually registered and approved on 11/06/21.The german company Tib-Molbiol filed with the UK patent office with a product of the same name in May and it seems that the test is already internationally registered. Currently the German test has been published in the UK trademark journal on 24/09/21 .There are 60 days from that date for objections to the use of the name Winterplex to be put forward .If there are no objections during that period the test then goes on to be registered. Very strange how another company has used exactly the same trademark all in capital letters,

The comments in the video about bringing the processing time of a test down from 60 minutes to 10 minutes reminded me of this report from Birmingham University in August. They have developed a test which can show results in under 10 minutes and can be used on standard lab equipment.At the end of the article they mention that they are seeking partner's to bring the test to market .
Could Novacyt be working on a similar concept?

B2HSL, they did state launch before the end of the month with co-prep. The particular European market that they mentioned in the video could be Germany. Novacyt have already reported that sales are strong into private labs over there.

I've just watched the section of the investor presentation again where AJ discusses new tests. During this he quotes that Novacyt have registered 16 covid and non covid assays so far this year and the company have plans for a further 10 before the end of 2022. On the screen there is a printed message which back's this up and that these 16 assays are registered and CE marked. So far this year I can account for approximately 10 CE marked tests that have been launched or delayed. It would appear that there are several more assays for covid and non covid testing that have received a CE marking but haven't been launched yet .If you watch the Investor Presentation from 12 minutes onwards you can see what I mean .Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hollow word's indeed and then you've got the reports of multiple lft tests showing a positive result ,then negative when repeated with a PCR test.
