sir_digby,this the list of tests that have received temporary approval. A large percentage of them had already been validated by TVG or MHRA so the test capabilities should be well known to the UK Health Security Agency.
Why has the UK government waited till now to implement a test evaluation process for of all covid tests sold in this country ? It should have been done last year ,the FDA implemented these rules at the beginning of the pandemic.

Companies can apply for tax relief on newly patented inventions if they come within the government's term's and conditions. Currently the rate of corporation tax is 19% , but with patent box tax relief this can come down significantly.Novacyt have numerous patent applications pending in what seems a slow process.
